I'll be at DLR the last week of June (it can't get here soon enough!) and given that Peter Pan's Flight had a delay in refurbishment :sad1:...

What do you think is best to hit first when you get into the park, whether it be EMH or regular hours?

I assume Matterhorn will see the most traffic?

I'm currently in the phase where even though I'm a little less than a month out, I'm trying to decide what to do when...the fiancee has been patient with me but I think is ready to tell me to just go with the flow! :rolleyes1

when there in late April.. the Matterhorn was still down.. lines for all the rides in F/L were busy so I really couldnt tell you what to head to first.. do your list like you would if both were up and running and omit those two. thats what we did... in fact one day.. we were the first ones on the Canal boats. at 10am .. was a good thing because 5 minutes late the line was crazy..

If you are looking for a Fantasyland ride to start with in the absence of Peter Pan, then depending on availability and your own preference, I would recommend Alice in Wonderland or Matterhorn first.

Alice is my DD's new favorite, so I think we are going to start there, then hit Matterhorn, then Dumbo. Or maybe Dumbo then Matterhorn...

Matterhorn has been crazy. Alice has taken a little longer to build up. Definitely have a back-up plan; both were down when the park opened at 8 earlier this week.

We will be there that same week. We are planning Alice, Matterhorn, then Dumbo. Depending on the lines, we may do Matterhorn then Alice. After that we will finish up fantasyland in whatever order seems best.

If you're willing to split up and the Matternhorn single rider line is open, that's the way to go. If not and you're there early, I'd do that first thing because the lines were always crazy before the refurb. It will only be worse until the newness wears off. Otherwise, Space Mountain or Indy before the lines get big. In Fantasyland, I love Alice and Mr. Toad.

Out of the classic fantasyland dark rides, Alice will be busiest throughout the day. Matterhorn has been exceptionally busy lately because it just reopened, I am not sure how long it will sustain the surge in crowds

Matterhorn should be number 1 unless you are ok with using the Single Rider line.
#2 Alice
#3 Dumbo

Thanks for the input all!

This will be my fiancee's first ever visit to DLR. We'll be there for 4 days so we'll be able to see everything, but I figure Fantasyland is the best place to start for her first foray into the ORIGINAL! :)

If both are down, you might consider the boats if you plan to ride them. The lines can get long because it's a slow moving attraction, and it's no coverage, so that wait can be really hot later in the day. Dumbo is the same way.

The only FL rides I would hold off on doing last are Mad Tea Party, Pinocchio and Snow White because they are shaded waits and usually don't have long lines.
