What to get a 10 year old DD???

Ok she has asked for the normal GBA, and games, clothes and then just me she doesn't know what she wants. That I have been her mommy for 10 years I should know better than her.

So I need help she is not into dolls or barbies no more, of course she loves disney (but can't swing a surprise trip for christmas). The child seems to have most things for her age. So what are you getting your girls close to this age????

Has she outgrown her bicycle? It seems to be the age for that.

I know what you mean...Well 11yo dd is getting GBA games, clothes, games, possibly a desk for her room, posters or wall decorations, maybe a karoke machine...if she needs a stereo or boom box that would be good. Oh and I got her a portable cd thingie and some cds.

my DD10 lives for Claire's boutique. She loves just about everything in the store. She also loves the Art Stuff from Bath and Body Works, American Girl Dolls- Hallmark has a really cute American Girl doll charm bracelet. Books, CDs, and of course clothes. Happy shopping!

I agree with the Claire's boutique. My 11 year old loves that store!! she is getting clothes, clothes, make-up (lip gloss and verylight colored eye shadow), personal hygiene stuff.

She wants a cell phone but I am teaching her how it is to want!! LOL!!

6)She wants a "stereo" for her room as opposed to a boom box but she's not getting it this year (told me too late)

11)Craft kits (Pretty Petals, Crystal Tatoos)
12) Assorted body glitter and lip gloss (always a huge hit)

14)Umm.....I can't remember what else but there is definitely more stuff than this!

If yours doesn't have a karaoke machine, I highly reccomend it! My DD still plays with hers (very frequently) and she's had it for 2 years. Get the "singing machine" one that puts the graphics on the TV they're running about $70 now.

DD#1 (10) is getting clothes, GBA, 2 outfits for her American girl doll, "The Quiz Book" from American Girl publishers, and some girly stuff--earrings, etc. She'll get a new bike for her BDay on March 2 (it is 5 degrees here now so not much sense getting her new bike now!!) Games are also good--last year I got her monopoly, this year I got her Disney Trivia on clearance for $20.

My dd(10) likes anything girly and flashy. clothes, accessories, jewelry, cd's, games, play make-up, hair stuff, a diary, art stuff, she's easy.

OUr neices and nephews exchange names for gifts, and my dd got my 10 year old neice.

My DD gave her: a black paper diary, some gel pens, about four different bracelets, hairbands, and a mirror shaped like a heart with a fuzzy purple leopard print around the mirror.

My neice doesn't have pierced ears, so we decided to go with bracelets.

How about some gift cards for Limited Two, Old Navy, Target and so forth. My dd age 10 loves these. They make her feel so grown up because they look like credit cards and she can then choose what she wants.

Things that were a big hit with DD last year (she's 11 now) were:

gift cards
Disney music CDs
the game LIFE (huge hit with all her friends & 10yo cousin, too)
mancala
jewelry
nail polish, remover, etc
new roller blades & pads
black tablet & gel pens
lip gloss & body glitter

From her grandparents she got a boom box from one set & a new bike from the other.

Mine still loves her American Girl doll. We also got her the AG mini room. She plays with this quite a bit & there's always new stuff to get to go with it.

We also try to get her tickets for something special, like The Nutcracker, the orchestra, a performance at the musical theatre "Sight & Sound" in Lancaster, PA. One year we got her an annual membership to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Phila.

I found the coolest thing at Toys-R-Us for my 13 yo DD: an ATM machine bank. It was in the spy gear section. You "deposit" money (coins and bills) and it keeps track of how much is in your account. You set up a pin and can make withdrawals with it.
