Our DD will be 3 months old at Christmas and I am looking for some ideas for gifts. I know we don't "have" to get her anything because she won't know the difference, but my 5 year old might wonder why Santa did not get her anything. We are looking for items from birth to 1 years old. Anyone have any things that their babies or 1 year olds just love??

Kristine

Maybe Santa could bring her some diapers/wipes and a cute little outfit.

with my first I got things she would be able to play with in a few months and I am doing the same thing this time. Or if you don't have one an exersaucer. but any type of floor toy/musical w/ lights. This way in a few months you don't have to go out and buy something, you already have it.

When our DD was 3 months last year, we bought her things that we knew she would use in a couple of months, so Santa brought her something. She got a jumperoo and just some cute toys in the infant aisle at Target. We also bought the baby toys that were on sale for Black Friday. She loved anything that made music.

I'm in the same situation - DS will be 4 months at Christmas. I got him a bunch of rattles, a ball, a jumperoo, and a fisher price rumble and learn driver. The jumperoo will be assembled under the tree so big and looks like a lot. I realize he won't be able to use the rumble and learn thing for a couple more months, but I figure he shouldn't (although he will) get tons of toys before his birthday next august, so it's okay to get him some stuff that's out of age range.

Oh, and we're giving him pajamas and some board books (we give DD8 clothes and books too)

We were in the same boat with our son on his first Christmas (3 months old). Santa brought him an exercauser, clothes, wipes, diapers, rattles, etc.

we went with books for both kids for their first Christmas and a toy they'd use in the next year.

My DD will be 6 months, I bought her clothes and a couple little toys.

Our youngest was 2 months for his first Christmas, and Santa brought him a Little Tikes 5-in-1 Adjustable Gym, and it was the BEST toy! He loved it as an infant and a toddler.

We're getting DS (5 1/2 months at Christmas) one of those crawl-through tunnel things - I think the one I'm looking at is the Fisher Price animal explorer one.

I also like the giraffe chew toy that is on Amazon's bestseller toy list.

Probably a shape-sorter of some sort, something w/ lots of lights (because he likes lights), some books, an outfit, stuffed animal as well...

We already have an exersaucer, or we'd get that.

Empty boxes wrapped up.

Seriously. We got DS, who was 6 months at the time, a couple little presents (wooden toys from oompatoys). Took them out of the boxes, wrapped them, wrapped the boxes (b/c I know well that kids loves boxes). Gave him the presents...a few days later gave him the boxes.

Guess which one he liked more???!!!????

Hubby thought I was brilliant....

My husband, son and myself decided to go to Build-a-Bear to make little friends for my daughter. There will be one from each of us. :santa:

Our LO will be 5 months at Christmas and we asked for things we know he will need before his next birthday. We are getting a bike trailer, baby gate, and a backpack to carry him in from his many grandparents. We got him books, a bumbo, some teethers, and clothes. I agree with the exosaucer idea.

Our dds first Christmas, she was just over 2 months old, of course Santa had to get her some gifts and we did too. We got her clothes, teethers and small toys, a Christmas Cabbage Patch doll, books, hair bows, a new blanket, a walker, and her first ornament for the tree.

She is just over 2 this year, we are really looking forward to this year, she will really enjoy it!

DS was 4 months old for his first Christmas. We got him alot of little toys, but his absolute favorite was Spin and Sing Alphabet Zoo Ball from Leapfrog. He still plays with it and he's 2 now!

How about a first Christmas treasure (like an ornament or something everyone in the family can sign for her, or a picture frame), a cute hat and glove set, a floor exercise gym for "tummy time" activities, some smaller toys with lots of lights and sounds, or some tub toys or bath items for when she is a bit older...cute towels, toys, or tub for when she is able to sit up in the bath. BOOKS are always a great gift!!!!

Hope this helps :)

DD is our first child, so we really just did it for us - for the pictures. I opened all the presents (only 3 hours after I wrapped them, lol!) and she was just like, "Whatever."

I got her a CPK (baby one?), a Crawling Pooh bear (you touch its butt and it says "Follow me baby!"), and a few other smaller toys that are actually still boxed up! (Age range is still beyond her, lol)

However, this Christmas will be interesting for us since she'll be 15 mos. :)

Tomorrow morning is coming too fast and can't wait to scope out some fun stuff for my DD.
