Countdown Planning Parties every 50 days or so! That's how we get through! Different theme for each party - prizes for trivia contests, movie nights, choose ADRs etc....

I agree. I still have 367 days left .......have been counting down since about 480 and I can hardly stand the wait any longer Good thing I am in nursing school as that "eats" up most of my time as of lately.

I don't have quite as long as some of you to wait, i'm going in Feb 2012...but...

I suggest you start putting small items in a disney box that you want to take with you. Every shopping trip I buy one or two of the items (hand sanitizer, Clorox wipe travel pack, blister bandaids, shout wipes, etc) and put them in my little box.

I also have a daily countdown calendar on the wall where every single day I draw Mickey Mouse ears to mark off the day. It helps me see that I'm making progress!

Today I made a template to make Mousekeeping tip envelopes, so over the next couple of weeks I will get all of those done. I will try and stretch those out as long as possible.

I will also start saving $1 bills every week to have on hand for Mousekeeping or any extra tips we want to give out.

All of this is really helping me space things out so it seems like I'm always working on something for the trip, and it's also easier to digest the extra costs of little things.

I was like you! It's so ironic to me, I was the one with over 400 days to wait. I made the most of those days, was very productive because each day was a countdown for me. I was working toward my goal.

I'm with you, 169 days left. I like your idea of picking up a little here and there and stretching out some of the activities, like your mousekeeping envelopes, etc. We could come here and commiserate every so often (or more often)...I love planning, but now that I have made the ressie, I am so unfocused and ready to go NOW!!!

I here you and we just got back 2 weeks ago. I booked bounceback for FD like we have in the past but at least my ticker is under the 11 month mark. With the holidays coming I will more than enough busy at least til January and that is when the long wait beginings for me.

451 days for us. A few weeks ago I started a daily texting game for my family. Each day I text them a "Disney fun fact" with a picture of whatever the fact may be. On random days (once every week or so) it becomes a contest. I ask them a trivia question and the first to text me the answer wins a disney prize. Anything from Disney giftcards to mickey mouse pez dispensers. This has really been fun for everyone.

We have over a year left to go.... but it's exciting knowing that we have another trip in the works!

I find it very hard passing the days away. But this year is so busy for us. We are trying to finish our unfinished basement & build a shed before the cold winter comes. It is just my husband & I doing it all so it isn't going as fast as we would like. After we leave work we go & try to get as much done as possible & work until around 9ish at night. We have 62 days and I can't wait to relax Disney Style!
