What to do????

Pop Warner= Cheerleaders
Cheerleaders + Teen Boys = :cool1:

I don't see the problem...........

BTW we have been twice during Pop and stayed at Value and Mods. I have yet to be in the groups w/ the loud cheering and early am practicing so maybe we are lucky but we just didn't notice anymore rif raf than usual at the resort or the parks. We have had crowded busses at night with them, but they really weren't any different than other guests. The only truely negative thing I noticed was the bus was lite up like Spectromagic at night with them all texting and opening thier cell phones. But hey a little extra show for the ride home. :rolleyes1

Wait... someone said they didn't notice PW groups, but noticed Brazilian tour groups. I went once at the end of January and saw LOTS of Brazilian tour groups. I've noticed lots of people saw them during the summer. They are there in December too? Yikes. I've heard people say their summer is during certain months, but I'm starting to think the groups vacation any time of the year now. Any thoughts?

We were there for PW last year. Barely noticed them. Every now and then you'd see some kids walking around with cheer shirts or football shirts on. There were far more tour groups than PW stuff.

On Thursday, they had their championship parade right before the 3pm parade at MK. My husband's comment "If your peewee team has a qb position coach, maybe you are taking this a little too seriously". That made me laugh! Other than that, we never noticed them.

Don't stress and enjoy your vacation!

Thanks everyone! I think we'll go ahead and keep our trip dates. :o) Ohhh, here's another question....I know that Pop Warner has a party at DHS one night. Anyone know what night of the week they do this? Thanks again! :worship:

I find out the hard way in 2004 and it was friday night and DHS was crowded all day too...so when its announced stay away...far away

One year, I cannot remember which All Stars it was, but they were in the food court first thing in the morning with their leaders & mom's doing their hair at the tables. They had lined up the square tables in a row, sat them down & the adults were doing the kids hair in the food court where others were eating. They were brushing & using hair spray as if they had the entire place to themselves. I went to a CM and complained since the smell of the hair spray was getting to me as I ate my breakfast. The CM went over to them & asked them to stop. As soon as the CM was out of site, they went right back to it. :confused3 That showed me what kind of group this was. Now I know not all of them are like this, but this was one rude group. They not only didn't respect others, they didn't listen to the CM and did it in front of their children. These adults were suppose to be role models. :scared1: I was livid to say the least. That was one of my worst stays. They cheered all night to get themselves ready...again, no respect for others.
I have been on many AAU Baseball trips and know how kids tend to act, but to have the adults acting that way was uncalled for. Again, that isn't all of them, but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth for Pop Warner..

I have also encountered the older (18-20?) cheerleaders on the bus at night, bumping and grinding (male and female) doing their cheers.. and not cheering moves either.. on the bus returning from the MK.... not a nice site when you have children. My kids were a little older at the time and realized what they were doing. They even commented on how discusting they looked...again, leaving a sour taste for Pop Warner.. not sure if these were the ones who were chaperons or who taught the girls their cheers.. but they were definatly cheerleaders....:scared1: the bus was nearly full of them

As I said in another thread about POP week the parents are worse than the kids

OK, so I changed our dates to the week after Thanksgiving for a couple of reasons. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't take Pop Warner into consideration. We are staying at Pop Century, and I found out that Pop Warner overflow is staying there this year unlike years in the past. However, the main reason is the High School counselor said that it would be better for them to miss the week right after the Thanksgiving holiday. SO, that was the main kicker for me. I wanted to share a little tidbit that the CM that changed our ressie gave me. I asked about the parade taping and crowds. He told me that they have not even scheduled the taping yet, and that when they do tape the parade it is when the park is actually closed. Just thought I would share. :) I also booked the MVMCP for Dec. 1st...very excited! :yay: SO, now that it is done I am just going to relax, and countdown our trip!:woohoo: Hopefully the boys won't be too disappointed about not being able to see the cute teenage cheerleaders all over! :cool1:
