We will be in Disney for MNSSHP. We are going to the Magic Kingdom that day as well. I thought that we would go in the morning for awhile and then go home to rest up before we come back for the party. My question is, where do most people eat in between?? Should I go back and eat at MK or should I eat somewhere else. Does anyone have any advice??
Thanks so much!!! I'm having so much fun planning!!!

When we went, we did the samething. We went to the Magic kingdom in the morning, rested in the afternoon and then went back at night. We ate at Kona Cafe because it was so conveninet being right on the monorail line. It worked out great! You are going to have the best time!!!!! Halloween at Disney is an amazing experience!

When we go to the parties we eat a late lunch and then eat a late dinner at one of the CS places in the park (usually Pecos Bill's.) Since it is such a late evening it works out better for us to eat a later dinner to have plenty of energy to last the whole evening.

I should say that we do not usually do a park during the day on the day of parties. It can make for a VERY long day. We like to go to DTD or just relax in the pool during the day and then head over to the MK at 4pm to maximize our use of the party tickets. We often like to pick up sandwiches from Earl of Sanwich and have those back in our room for our late lunch :)

We skipped the parks completely that day.,hung out at the pool, and entered MK at 4pm and ate CS at Cosmic RAys.

I agree... you won't get the full benefit of the party if you have been the parks all day especially MK. You will be tired and most likely will want to leave early. You can get in at 4pm with your party ticket and stay until 12am. That is pretty good bang for the buck.

Make that day your rest, hang out at the pool day. Go to the party at 4pm and get dinner shortly after that inside MK. You can get TS ressies between 4 and 7pm inside the park.

We stayed out of the parks that day and took it easy.:hippie: We swam at the pool for a while, went to DTD for lunch and window shopping, then entered MK at 4pm. We ate at Cosmic Ray's for dinner and had a great night.:thumbsup2

Thnaks for all your input. My only problem with staying out of the parks is that my sister and her family and my parents will only be in Disney for 3 days. We will be there longer, but I don't want to miss our on doing the parks with my niece and nephew and my kids with their cousins. Normally I would say to use that as our non-park day, but in this case I don't think that will work. I like the idea of eating a late lunch and then a later CS dinner. That could work.

We spent part of the day (about 4 hours) at AK, then went back to the resort and chilled out. Then went to dinner at The Wave and walked to the party. It was a great plan.

We arrived at MK at 8am, stayed til around noon/1pm and had lunch at Coral Reef in Epcot. We went back to the hotel and napped/swam. The plan was for a CS dinner at the resort. We ended up sleeping later and had a CS dinner in the park during the parade. We didn't like that meal, but I think CS at the park is a good plan B. Eating at the resort prior to heading to the park would have been the best plan for us and what I'd recommend for you.

I wouldn't make a TS ressie for that night as you may experience what we did: slow movement after the nap or extended naps. I will say that afternoon nap did wonders for all of us.

We usually go to another park during the day, go back to resort a bit to relax and make early dinner ADR's at one of the monorail/boat resorts or in MK. Doing this avoids the crowds heading to the party on the busses. You can be "banded" starting at 4:00 if you are inside the park.

:)Last year for MVMCP we went to another park I think, then got to the MK, met my parents in front (they had been on a little self tour of the monorail resorts)at 4p.m. then took the ferry over to WL for early dinner at WCC at 5 p.m. Took the ferry back to MK and had a great time at the party. Will be repeating that this year. Just checked last year's spreadsheet and our ressie was for 5:30. It gave us time to get Daddy a beer in the Lounge next to the cafe and then we were one of the first tables seated. This year we are going to repeat that for MNSSHP, but try to get it 30 minutes or a bit earlier.

So like the PP have said--doing something else or taking a break, maybe just a ride around looking at the resorts is good.popcorn::

Doesn't sound like our strategy will work for you, but we also spent the day quiet at the pool, hanging around and then went to the park around 4pm. We stay at BCV so we grab CS in Epcot and take the monorail over to MK.

There may be limited CS choices in MK. I could be wrong, but I don't think they are all open and/or serving a full menu for the entire party.

Keep in mind that the party goes late so you will want to plan to get a late start the next day. I think we got in around 2am last year by the time the party ended, we waited for a bus and got back to the room.

that's great to hear that it went late, so that I can plan a later park day for the following day. Very good to know. Thanks for the tip.
