I'm a vet at WDW, but I've never been to DL. I'll be in Anaheim for a convention in early October. I will actually be staying on Disney property (most likely the Grand Californian). I will be limited on time since I'll be there on business, but will definitely make time to hit at least DL while I'm there. I just have a few questions. How are the crowds in early October? It would be a weekday that I'd be going (probably Friday, October 2). Also, does DL offer any "after hours" promotions like the Not So Scary Halloween Party at WDW?

Thanks!

DCA does host a trick or treat party during that time.

That is the weekend of Gay Days, an unofficial event that will increase the crowds at the parks and hotels.

I've had 2 solo trips and they are so great!

I may have DW with me. She's worked at the company and I may get it approved for her to help me work at my booth at the convention so that will make it more fun.

As for the trick or treat party, is it an after-hour event? I know I did MNSSHP last year when this same convention was in Orlando and was able to do laps on most rides because the crowds were so light. When do they usually start posting ticket info on that event?

Gay Days
That is a long weekend with some mini events tacked on by partakers of this event. For some it is the trip of a life time or one that some rarely can afford to take. It is a time of fellowship and fun with some private events off site.

They wear red shirts so that they know who not to hit on. It will be more crowded on those days. The only trouble I have had on Gay days is the trashy low life who insult the gays and make fun of the gays. A bad way to get a free Disney shirt was to wear red on Gay Days then complain that one was offended.

Mickey's Trick or Treat Party
It is a hard ticket and is separate from regular AP and other admission. Guests have the park to themselves and no shows are running but lots of rides are running. You even get to wear a costume. My friends used to love doing this event.
