what to do with the ecv after hours.

I am planning a trip with a friend in Nov that is not able to walk long distances so she is getting a ECV. I already booked our stay to Riverside. My question is what to do with the ecv at nite if we are on the second floor. I hate to ask for a handicap room and take it away from someone who really needs it. I know alligator bayou has no elevators. Does anyone have any experience like this. Do you think that maybe we could leave it in the baggage room at night? Any thoughts would be helpful

Just ask for a 1st floor room for medical reasons.

You are responsible for it so if you leave it somewhere and it and someone steals it you bought it.

Also may I ask since your friend only needs it for long distance that they park the ECV when doing the shows and leave the wheelchair spots for those that don't have the option of walking in.

You would have to keep it in the room anyway since the charger has to be plugged in.

Yes, keep it in the room charging. Call Riverside and have them note on your ressie that you have a mobility scooter and will need a first floor room. It doesn't have to be handicapped and is no problem for them.

I have always had to do a minor rearrangement of furniture to accommodate the scooter and get near a wall outlet. I usually just scoot the table and chairs over a bit or put them on the other side of the room. It has never been a problem.

When we spent 10 days at SSR with an ECV this past May, the cast members at the front desk told DH to charge our ECV out in the hall overnight. There were plenty of outlets out there.
