We are doing a Land/Sea and have been socking birthday money, etc in an envelope for our vacation. I think I will convert most of it to a AMX Traveler Card to travel to Orlando, but what should I do with it when I get to Disney? Can I apply it to my KTTW acct and use it at the parks (to eat, buy souveniers, etc)? Will the balance be transfered to our cruise acct? Would it be better to just convert part of it to Disney dollars for the park?

I don't think they can transfer the credit from WDW to DCL. I would suggest Disney $$. If you have any left after WDW, you can then use those towards your onboard account. Or travelers checks would work too.

You can't "transfer" but you can get Disney Dollars back for the balance at WDW to take and apply to DCL. I had a balance from my cash deposit at WDW and took the Disney Dollars instead of U.S. Currency to save it for our cruise! :wave2:

I used Travelers checks both at Disney and the cruise. I gave myself a daily budget and just cashed that amount of trav. checks per day. That gives me a certain amount right up till the very end of the vacation. You can use your travelers checks on board by going to Guest Services every day, or every few days, checking your balance that your spending on board and zeroing your balance. That way you won't have this huge bill to pay on the last day. So you don't have to worry about "what to do with your checks", simply decide how much you want to spend that day and cash that amount or take that particular check with you to the parks and spend it there. They work out great!

You can always put the cash on your credit card bill BEFORE you leave. That way as long as you don't spend over that amount, it will be a wash on your credit card bill that you link to your KTTW. You just need to monitor your spending and know when you go over so you don't get a surprise bill. ;)

I would check with DCL since you are doing a Land/Sea. Last year we did a Land/Sea and we used our same KTTW card on land and on the ship. We did get a statement when we checked out of the Poly and of course another statement at the end of our cruise. It may not be possible but definately check since it is a Land/Sea all booked together you may be able to do it.
