What to do with points... Help

Members Service tell me I have 50 points (2013) I need to bank and use in 2014 or lose them - just got them from a ad-on.

According to MS If I bank them they are good from June 1,2014 until June 1,2015.

I have a room booked at AKV for 45pts , if I add my 2013 50 pts I'll have a total of 95pts. I'm kind of stuck.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO with the 50pts???

Can't you have two nights at AKL? Or you could maybe try and rent them but small amounts of points can be hard to rent.

When is your trip? What is the use year for your add-on? You're past the banking deadline for a June use year. Is this some special consideration? Did you add on with a direct purchase?

Can't add to my dates I already have another Timeshare that I will be checking into when I leave AKV. Yes, but have not looked to see what's available. NO I'm not driving down , But staying at VB or HHI sounds like a great idea for my next trip

If they are allowing you to bank the June 2013 points, they would be good until May 31, 2015. Maybe consider another trip? Or at least try renting out a small reservation. It's better than just "throwing them away".

Or you can see what's available in the Disney Hotels. Maybe convert all 95pts to book a night or 2 at say Yacht club?

Your banking deadline for a June use year is January 31st, so this must be a special consideration for purchasing direct.

Yes, you should bank the points. Then you should call and have your existing reservation reallocated to use the new banked points. By doing that, you'll free up the 45 2014 points to use later or bank them into your 2015 year for another reservation in a year or two.

I'd just bank the points and then figure out what to do with them. If you can't use them you could try and rent them out.

It's only special insofar as DVC allows direct purchasers to bank points that you have just bought even if you are past the banking deadline.

This is a great idea. I did the same thing a couple of years ago with a resale add on that had banked points. Called MS and swapped out those banked points for current UY points I had use for the reservation.

The only issue might be if the new points aren't at the same home resort and you used the 11 month booking advantage. Then you'd have to see if the same room is available now for MS to cancel your existing reservation and book a new one using the non home resort points.

This. SuperSnoop is right, adjust your existing reservation to use these newly granted points, and that will give you more time.

I'm doing handsprings !!!!!!
I was able to bank my new points and modify my December reservation from a studio value to a 1 bedroom value. SOOOO HAPPY . Thank you all for your advice and help.
