I know it sounds funny to think that anyone could not find something to spark new interest @ WDW, but I am asking for some ideas of different ways to experience the magic..Did all character meals at least once..DD8 is sooooo over princesses and we love staying at the Fort...We usually marathon the days we are there...going from sun up to sundown .. Never have problems with the boys ..they would ride SRS til the bolts flew off.:coffee:

My gang enjoyed the hidden Mickey's, also there are some Hunt's, things like the wishing well at Indiana Jones talking when pulling the rope, the hidden key under the mat when waiting at the Muppet theater, The Epcot tours of "the land" for just a few $$.

Have you been to the kids center, Kennedy space, the ocean, Mideviel Time dinner theater?

Downtown disney sites,
Enterprize rental has a weekend rate starting on Thursday to rent a car, 50% off. I had a Nissan Sentra for $55. Enough room in the trunk for a scooter.

Just off the top of my head.

We make sure we do at least one new thing every trip. We've done all of the following, but there is still PLENTY for us to experience.

Cirque de Solei
Illuminations celebration cruise
mini-golf
Spirit of Aloha dinner show
Disneyquest
Wilderness lodge sleigh ride
rent Surrey bikes & ride around CBR

This summer, we've got an ADR for Hoop de Doo Review & we plan to rent boats at DTD or go tubing at the Contemporary (I think they have that...I'm still not sure). We also will rent bikes & ride around the Boardwalk.

I agree with the PPs we always find a few new things to do and then ofcourse revisit the favorites. We are a Disney family, but we also switch out theme parks. Like next year will be a Universal/IOA year. Then when we visit Disney again everything will be fresh once more.

We go often and I try to keep things fresh. My kids (10 and 5) enjoy doing other things besides the parks. As well as hopping around the parks to see/do our favorites we try to incorporate a few of these things:

*Grand Adventures in Cooking at the GF
*Pirate Cruise(at the YC, GF, and POR)
*Camp Fire and movie at FW
*Shopping at DtD
*Boat rides at the marina at the resorts
*Community Hall arts and crafts(we are DVC members)
*Resort hopping(my kids enjoyed making lei's at the POLY this past week!)
*Lot's of pool time(we never seem to have enough of this!)
*My kids also beg to go to one of the kids clubs! They love them. I think they like time away from us!LOL They have so much fun and never want to leave.

in addition to the others, I plan a tour now!

So far the Behind the Seeds tour (only $10 pp) was a big hit...

and I've read some good things about the Magic Kingdom Family Tour as well - we let DD tell us some things, but like you, when I heard her statement to dad "I cant wait to see what mom surprises us with"

:scared1: set in - I thought we'd done all the surprises!!

now I cant believe how many we havent done!!

(we're going for her birthday and I'm ordering a chocolate cake - or a slipper dessert - check out the Cake thread on the restaurant board)

you stay at Fort Wilderness? When we stayed in a cabin there once, we rented a golf cart for the week and did a lot of driving around, visiting the different playgrounds, and enjoying the main pool w/ activities, and of course the campfire/movie. We fished there too. The kids enjoyed that as much as the parks!

We also try to stay at different resorts, or at least space them out (not staying at the same place for a couple of years). When we went 3x's in one year, we skipped parks too.

We try different restaurants... the first couple of years we went, we did almost every character meal too, and were tired of it all. So we started doing counter service places. Now we're back to doing a couple of character meals per trip, since we've hardly done them the past couple of years.

A tip I read here... 1 day, do a 1/2 day park, go to the bus stop, and get on the first resort bus you've never been to. Go there for lunch and resort exploring. We now love doing that!!

DH and ds6 are doing a bass fishing excursion our next trip. DH did the Richard Petty racecar passenger experience once. You and kids could watch.

Watch Wishes from the Poly beach instead of inside the MK. Or watching from the GF marina w/ snacks from Gasperilla's is fun too.

Hidden Mickey hunts are great, whether at a resort or the parks. AKL has a great one (and it's a really great resort to just visit!)

Visit the boardwalk at night... strolling magicians, jugglers, mid-way games, etc. Make an adr for dinner at one of the restaurants and stroll around.

Swan/Dolphin has a really nice playground/sand area (we don't pool hop!) and swan paddle boats. Mini golf right behind swan/dolphin too.

Pin trading. Snacking around world showcase w/ the kids (everyone shares 1 snack per country). Passports and masks at world showcase.

I'm sure you'll get a lot more good ideas! Have fun!!

We have been many times and are always looking for something new. Check out a travel book for Disney and read every page. We have done this and realized that we didn't know much about Epcot. I highlighted different foods we didn't know were offered, rides that existed in the different lands, and shows in the different countries. Look for the lawnmower tree at FW, go to Hoop de doo revue, watch the Electric Light Parade from Wilderness Lodge beach, see the gyser at Wilderness Lodge, try to wake up Tink at MK, DisneyQuest, ride the mouseboats at DTD, eat at different restaurants (Planet Hollywood, Rainforest, Portofino's etc) etc.

I have found the book really interesting (and I had my doubts!!!):surfweb:

We also always find new things to experience in the parks or out of them. Our kids are 7 & 3 and I always seek their input on what they would like to try out (of course I present the options). We also try to stay in different parts of the World and concentrate on special activities in that section.

This past Nov. we checked out the Behind the Seeds tour which all of us enjoyed. We also did BBB with a photo session. Although my 7yo is also over the princesses she loved getting her hair done up and wore her own dress. We also did the GF photo session and did a monorail tour of resorts to spice things up. :)

This upcoming Nov. the kids want to try out the pirate cruise. DD wants to do the tandem parasailing also! They also told me they want to do a kids club for the evening so that means a night out for DH and I!!! Yeah!!! :) We change things up for the adults too. We are heading down with friends and the guys will be doing a fishing excursion one morning and the ladies will be checking out the GF spa!! :)

We also try new restaurants and shows or rides. One of the reasons we love going to WDW is that there are sooooo many different things to do!!

What about getting your daughter into the spirit of spreading "pixie dust"? Buy some flashing buttons or glow in the dark bracelets at the dollar store and let her hand some out during an evening fireworks/parade.

If she really knows her stuff or even if she is interested enough to do some quick research have her be your "tourguide" of the day (afternoon/evening). Let her plan out some time at the park and lead you all through it. Make her a Disney cast member pin (see the designboards).

How about a pampering day for her? They offer my first facials/manicures etc at the GF spa. Then you could take her to BBB for a Hannah Montana makeover.

Have her be the photographer. Get her a cheap digital camera and some scrapbooking stuff. She may enjoy seeing the same old sights through a different lens.

Kids Clubs? Can anyone sign up for these and where do they offer them?

Pirate Cruise? Sounds like fun, is that on property or off?

Thanks

Pirate Cruises are offered at these resorts: YC, GF, and POR. They are a lot of fun and my DD has done 2 of them and can't wait to do it again. You can book it 180 days in advance. Here is a link to some info:

Here's some info on the kids clubs:

My kids love the one at the BC, the Sandcastle Club. They went there twice on our last trip per their request! We are DVC'ers and was staying onsite so I'm not sure if it's for onsite guests or not. I know you can make ressies 180 days in advance and you don't have to be staying at the particular resort the kids club is at. We didn't have any ressies and called ahead and they said they were taking walkins the day of. My kids have so much fun there. The CM's are so wonderful. They do arts and crafts, eat dinner, color, have video games, dress up, toys, movies, etc... They are located at the POLY, GF, BC, WL, AKL, and CR. Here's a link for more info:
