maybe someone with more experience can help me out here. i purchased and over purchased Disney stickers from my local hobby lobby before my trip in september. well, now that i am scrapping i realize that i can't use most of them. some of them there is like one or two stickers i could use. or a border off of one sheet and a sticker or journal box off of another. so, my dilemma is that i have all this extra left over and some of the sheets haven't even been touched. they are out of the packages and put into my organizer so i can't take them back to the store. i am just wondering what most of you do if this happens? is there a swap of some sort that can help me or are there such things as trades? please help. any suggestions are welcome.
thanks

I hang on to my stuff...Someday I *will* be able to use it, or someone I know will and I can pass it on. Not sure if you could use it for b-days, goody bags, etc. If I *know* I'm not going to use it, it goes into the bag o' goodies to pull out for my kids at restaurants, waiting rooms, car rides, etc.

If you really want to clean out, you could try to put a lot together and sell on ebay. I've watched some auctions for CM Disney stuff and it tends to do pretty well. Other brands have cuter stuff IMO so that may be worth a shot.

We had a "37 cent swap" a couple months ago. Everyone signed up with things they could use & sent their list to the host. The we each packaged up our "extras" to send off to our "buddy" - keeping in mind their "wants" & "don't wants". The idea was that we were supposed to fit it into a standard first-class letter. Of course most of us went over, but the basic idea was there.

You could either wait for one of those swaps to start again or host one yourself. The other option would be to start a thread with a list of things you have to trade & things you could use. Then just match up with people & do a "private" swap. ;)

There are a couple of Disney Yahoo groups. One is for Pay-it-forward type of exchanges... you list what you have and if someone takes it, then you have "points" to take someone else's stuff that you can use.

There is also a yahoo group called Scrappin Free...same concept but with all types of scrapping supplies, not just Disney.

Or you can just post here and maybe someone will have something to exhange with you.

I second the idea of the 37 cent swap! I received a sb item in that swap that I used just last week - it was perfect for my page. I received a half moon with little stars hanging from it that I used on a page about visiting the Naval Observatory years ago.

I just hang on to it until

a) I use it
b) someone I'm scrapping with can use it
c) I see something here where it can be used
d) I swap it out!

thanks everyone for your replies. i think i'm going to check out the "trade" site that was mentioned. i really don't want them laying around for much longer as i am afraid i will get in the cleaning mood and throw them all out then the guilt will follow. thanks so much

I resisted at first, but now that I make a lot of cards, I find those extras and scraps work perfectly for them. I also make mini books for the grandmas and get rid of a lot of extras that way.

Plus if you do swaps or circle journals, they get used up that way. I used to have a ton of it and now i'm scrambling to find the leftovers.
