We have several(10) hours from the time we disembark to the time our flight leaves. We don't want our vacation to end. What do we do with the left over time? We want to do something exciting and new. Have some time but not a lot. Space center- done that. Dinner theatre- done that. WDW- done that but might take in a park. Any ideas? :confused3

I am sailing on the 6/16/05 Wonder. After we debark, we're heading to the MCO Hyatt and got a day rate with full use of the pool, etc. -- 11am-6pm. It was not worth the time and $$ to go to WDW for a few hours. We can relax at the Hyatt and enjoy what little time is left of our vacation.

Whatever you decide to do -- enjoy!

We went to DisneyQuest to kill some time after our 2003 3-day. Since we arrived early (straight from the port), there was no crowd to speak of. After a few hours there, we browsed DTD then made our way to MCO. It was a real nice wind-down to our mini-vacation.

We did DisneyQuest once and the kids loved it. It was more fun than I thought it would be. I would second this suggestion to go to DTD and go to DQ when it opens and then walk around DTD when you tire of it, have lunch/dinner and then head to the airport.

Kevlois, Can you please provide some more information? Are you regular WDW or Florida visitors?

Where does your flight depart from. 10 hours is a relatively long time between disembarkation and flight departure.

We don't leave MCO until 9pm the day we get off the boat. We're renting a car through Budget and going to DTD and DQ. Then we'll return the car to MCO.

We are also on the 6/16 cruise! Our flight doesn't leave until 6:00. So I rented a car and we are spending the day at Downtown Disney....

We're actually not flying out until the day after we depart ... but the day we disembark we'll be heading to Blizzard Beach for the day. :cool1:

If you like nature, you might enjoy going to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. There's a great visitor's center, and we really enjoy driving on the Black Point Wildlife Drive. We've seen many, many species of birds, losts of alligators, and in June of 2004, a Florida panther (we got a picture of it and showed it to the biologist--he insisted it was a bobcat, but we'd never seen a no spotted, long legged, sleek, tall bobcat with it's tail dragging the ground!). Also, the beaches at Canaveral are gorgeous! If you're interested, check out their website at http://merrittisland.fws.gov. If we had a few extra hours, that's what we'd do!

Have fun!

Thanks so much for the link dvcersfromva - that is a new one that I have not seen. Depending on the weather, we may give that a try on one of our upcoming trips.

We are planning on going to Jungle Adventures www.jungleadventures.com. It is located in Christmas Florida on the way back to Orlando. It looks interseting, the web site says you can even hold a baby alligator.
