I won an item on Ebay on March 8 (a pack of scrapbook paper). I paid for it on the 9th via Paypal. According to the ebay site, the seller "made a label" for it through the post office on the 9th, and according to the seller she mailed it on the 9th also. I can't track the package until it arrives, and it hasn't arrived. I've e-mailed the seller twice, and she says "let's give it a few days, I mailed it with media rate and that can take up to 14 business days". Well, it's been over 2 weeks since I won the item and nothing. No insurance was offered, so I believe it is her responsibility to find the package or give me a refund. I've won other items since then that have come as fast as 2-3 days! So is it time for me to leave negative feedback. I've never had to do that, but I've also never had something not come. Makes me wonder if she even sent it. :sad2:

Thanks for your help!

Media mail can take forever. Give it a bit. I've had things take more than 3 weeks via media mail....
How does her feedback look? I wouldn't give her a negative quite yet.

Personally,
I would hold back on leaving negative feedback for now, the reason being, she/he will probably leave negative feedback for you in return even though you paid on time. this unfortunatly happens a lot on ebay and can damage your credability if you have few feedbacks on your account. Wait a few more days and aproach the seller again telling them your intention about the feedback.....they might offer you a refund. this happened to me recently. If they refuse make sure you get the postage reciept from them so at least you can make a claim.
Good luck!

I've had media mail items take up to a month and in one instance the package took 6 weeks. Media Mail is cheap, but sometimes it is worth it to pay the extra $$ and send an item first class unless it is very heavy. A seller has no control over a package once it is shipped. If the seller had used delivery confirmation you both could have tracked the package and had proof of mailing.

I think leaving negative FB at this point is jumping the gun. JMO

I would give it at least another week or 2. Maybe you can check with your PO and see if they have it hanging around in the back. Believe it or not, I have a had two buyers that had packages delayed and when they asked the PO to check and see if it was sitting on a shelf, lo and behold the packages turned up. They both got a "Sorry..sometimes packages get misplaced." :earseek:

Good luck, hope it turns up.

I agree, give her more time. Media mail can take a long, long time. Negative feedback would be very unfair at this point - if you wanted it in 2-3 days, then you should have asked for and paid for priority mail shipping.

I have had media mail items take aver a month to come. Others come in as little as 2-3 days, it depends on the post office. I wouldn't leave her negative feedback yet since you know she made a label for it. You should be able to tell if it was at least brought to the PO with the tracking number. Also, the actual Post Office has more info than you can get online, so if one of you goes there with the number, they can "really" see where it is. Hope that helps

2 months ago I ordered an item from mousesurplus for international delivery. It hasnt arrived so on tuesday I am phoning the post office as I have the tracking number. I know it is not the fault of mousesurplus. If so you betcha I would leave bad feedback. I also always purchase on my credit card for safety.

I'm surprised she shipped media mail. Media mail is for books (at least 8 pages) , film (16 mm or narrower, sound recordings, recorded video tapes, printed music, and recorded computer-readable media (such as CDs, DVDs, and diskettes), loose leaf pages and binders consisting of medical information.

If you paid with Paypal, don't let the time lapse when you can put a claim in, and she'll have to prove it was delivered to you. I would explain to her, that you'll withdraw the complaint once the item comes, but you don't want to miss the oportunity.

Check with your post office before you do anything rash.

A couple of years ago, I sent a Nancy Drew book to someone on the West Coast by media mail. I know that it typically takes a bit longer to arrive, but this one took 6 MONTHS to get there. Luckily, I had a very understanding buyer, and the item was very inexpensive (even with shipping), so there were no complaints or negative feedback.

Give it some more time, & good luck!

I never buy anything without it being insured and being put on a credit card n case it gets "lost".

Hopefully you package wil find its way.

I'm in the same boat.
Bought 4 Disney Pins on Ebay March 4. Paid for them March 5.Seller wanted $10.00 shipping no insurance...told him $5.00 was still quite high but all I was prepared to pay (4 different auctions most sellers combine shipping and pins usually cost less than a buck to ship.

So...still waiting and seller doesn't answer emails.
I'm checking mail one more time and then I am fillling out a 'did not receive' thinge on Ebay or PayPal.

All the other pins I bought came in 3 days, so I think something is up with this seller.

Kinda ticks me off.

Hmmm...I don't understand what you are saying here. The shipping was listed in the auction as $2.50 each pin, no mention of combingin sales but you decided that $5.00 was all you were paying? If so, IMO, you are actually the one in the wrong..the seller hasn't been fully paid yet, and is still waiting for the rest of her/his payment to ship.
No seller is required to combine. That is something you should have settled before you bought, not after. Buyers don't get to change the TOS, just because they don't agree with it. Buyers are allowed to not bid, if they don't agree with it, and I think that's what you should have done, not bid. I see a neg coming your way :confused3 Am I misunderstanding you?

Well, the good news is that today I received the package that I was asking about. It took well over 2 weeks. I know that media mail takes longer, but the auction did not SAY that it would be shipped by media mail, she only told me that AFTER I was inquiring to it's whereabouts.

Here's the kicker. It was BORING DOWN RAIN all day here. My mail lady put the above mentioned package/envelope on top of my other mail.......and left the mailbox door open. Of course I didn't know that she had done that until after I went to get the mail, AFTER it had stopped raining. Needless to say the package of scrapbook paper is ruined. It was packed in the shrink wrap that it comes in (it is CM paper) and simply stuck in a paper envelope, and the rain soaked all the way through all of it. The package did not say "DO NOT BEND", but I think that if it hadn't been raining my mail lady would have put it between my front door and my storm door as she does on occasion, but it was raining so she didn't. I don't blame her for that, I blame her for leaving my mailbox door open!

So I called the Post offices' 1-800# and told them what had happened. The person I spoke with gave me a claim number and said someone would call me tomorrow.

I guess that fates decided that I should NOT have this package!! :sad2:

Look forward to receiving 2 NPB. If you get 3, I think, you are removed from Ebay. You should never assume a seller will combine shipping. Nor are they required to combine shipping. You'll be required to prove you paid for each of the 4 auctions......which you can't do since you shorted the seller on the shipping costs.

Unfortuantly if the auction doesn't state "Will Combine Shipping" and/or you didn't E-mail before you bid you may be out of luck. It sucks but before I bid I always A) Check Location of Sellar B) Check Feedback of Sellar C) Check Shipping costs before I bid. Many out there scam on S/Hing so I make sure to estimate that cost before I even consider bidding.

I have a person that bought a CD from me on March 22nd (10 days ago) and they have not e-mailed or anything letting me know about payment (I have sent them 3 invoices. In my policy it strictly states (Payment in 10days) so I am going to wait until Monday and then I will be filing a NPB against this person.
