What to do with car seat?

DH and I are flying to MCO in January with our son who will be 5 months old.
We won't be buying a seat for him...so what do we do with his car seat? Can I check it with the luggage? I have seen car seat travel bags...does anyone have experience with them?

You can check it with the luggare. I'm sure that the car seat bags keep it nice and clean but if I recall they can be a bit pricey. I've never had trouble with the handling of the car seat and a few times airlines have given me a bag to cover it with.

Just an FYI, you can purchase a seat for your child at half price. Probably not much more than the car seat carrier.
