So, we made quite a few animiation studio drawings on our most recent trip. Has anyone done anything unique to preserve / display them? They are just such a big piece of paper that framing all of them is not an option. Any thoughts on what to do? My kids really liked the experience, and some of them are pretty good so I would love to do something wtih all of them.

Thanks for any ideas.....and pictures of what you might have done would be great.

Would it be possible to laminate the ones you don't frame? We used to do that for our little ones (using DLR maps, drawings, take out menus, enlarged photos, etc.) -- they loved using the different laminated things as placemats or other things.

If you made a photobook (Shutterfly, Costco, etc), you could scan or photograph them and add them to the book.

You could also take them to a copy store and have them spiral bound into a book. They can do pretty much any size.

Placemats! I think that is great idea, perfect size too :thumbsup2

This sounds like fun ... And what great souvenirs!

Do you pick the character to draw or is there a time schedule of when they are doing certain characters?

Thanks!

They do different characters. There is a cast member at the beginning of the line, and you can ask him/her what the characters are for that day, and what time they're going to draw them. My nephews enjoyed it so much we drew three different characters.

Sometimes they have a sign outside of the Animation building that shows this information as well. :)

PLACEMATS! Brilliant! Right now I just have a stack of them, including the one I did of Pluto that looks like Goofy. And the one where Mickey looks like he's had one too many Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Rums.

My plan had been to cut around each of our drawings and then mount them on a different paper/cardstock/mat and frame them. But instead a couple years later they finally went in the recycle bin.... But it would have been a good idea if I'd done it!

Thanks ... And thanks also to the other pp who mentioned the sign!

We will check it out soon!

Have you checked into poster frames? They come in several sizes and the prices are very reasonable.
