We are taking our 6 year old granddaughter to WDW in November.
What are the musts to do? We are doing the Princess Lunch at Akershus for one day. We are also taking her for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience. We would appreciate any other suggestions. :dance3:

Hi! We are doing 1900 PF and CRT in addition to BBB and PSB!:cheer2: DD (5) is also doing the childrens tea at GF with Allice and the Mad Hatter! Would love some other ideas also!

Our 5 and 6 year old princess did 1900, CRT, Akershus, pony ride at Fort Wilderness, hair braiding/beading, MVMCP, activities in community hall, bike rental, arcade games, surrey bike ride. But her favorite thing was also the cheapest and easiest: time in the pool and pool games. My advice is to allow for relaxing time around the pool.

Depending on where you are staying check out the activities schedule and see if they have the tie dye tee shirt making session. We had a great time doing that and then there is something the child had a part in making to remember the trip with. We got the slightly bigger shirt so it would work for a beach cover up or nightgown at first and then a regular shirt as the child grows. Have fun - we will be doing some of the princess things in Dec with the 4 yo princess granddaughter. Hope they continue to do the mermaid transformation at POC then as I think she would like that better than the BBB. Right now it looks like it is only for the summer but we can hope it will be a winner and they will extend it.

Mermaid Transformation? Wow, I have to look that up! Thanks!:thumbsup2

Make sure you let her dress up in a princess dress when she goes to the parks. The cast members will bow to her and call her Princess and make her feel like royalty. My girls love it. My youngest told me that she 'knows that Cinderella must live here because all of her staff (meaning the cast members)are trained well for Princesses'.

My daughter loves eating at Cinderella's Castle. CRT is pricier than Akershus but you get a nice picture with Cinderella and they put on a nice show for the kids. Plus there is something magical about being in the castle. DD started to ask last year if things were "real" and we were in line to meet Cinderella at the castle and she asked me if this was the real Cinderella. I responded that we were in her castle so it must be the real one. I got a huge smile from a CM and DD was satisfied.

Thank you for all your comments. We put all your suggestions in our planning book and they are all great ideas. If anyone else wants to add we would be more than excited to hear them. Thank you again.:thumbsup2

Take her to tea at the Grand Floridian. You can be with her and enjoy an afternoon of pampering. They have a children's menu, and you can enjoy the tea service as well. The GF feels so elegant, and she'll feel grown up.

Our 6 year olds favorite activity was being dropped off at the Neverland Club at the Polynesian Resort. It wa s one of the cheapest things we did and we even got to eat a nice dinner alone. Now they have these clubs at a bunch of the resorts so it is even easier.

At that age it is some of the simpler things they just love - like running through the kids sprinkler in downtown Disney on a hot day.

Thank you for your replies. We updated our plans we are now doing the Bibbidi Bibbidi Boutique and the Cinderellas Round Table. The Grand Floridian
tea sounds great but if the princess is unable to attend my wife and I will be doing tea there. Of course, pool time is on our list as well as some other "free" activities. The princess Mom and Dad are attending WDW so we have to be respectful of their wishes. We appreciate all your suggestions and please keep them rolling in!:thumbsup2

We do the regular tea, not the Alice Tea party....not nearly as expensive and it is a wonderful memory for all of you to share. We have had High Tea on our last two trips and it is a must for our next trip.

Make sure she rides the carosel in her Princess dress....maybe even try and get on the Cinderella horse with the gold bow on her tail and take pictures. My favorite picture of my DD in Disney is of her dressed as Belle on the carosel. Also have a picture with the Fairy Godmother when she is all dressed up.

Have a wonderful trip.
