what to do with 1 day in orlando?

I have to go to a convention in orlando in november. I am trying to decide whetheror not to bring the dw. What one park or attraction would be the best to do whilewe are there? Since the company is picking up the room and my airfare, we are only going to pay dw airfare. We will be there fri-sun, flying on fri and sun.

We were thinking of mvmc on fri night and maybe the pirate dinner on sat.

Any ideas to make the best of the weekend. I will be tied up mornings for the convention.

I think I would want to go to Epcot for the day if it was just dh and I. If you do MVMCP on Friday night you will get to the MK. You could spend the day touring Epcot and then head over to World Showcase in the evening.

I would make a reservation for dinner at one of the World Showcase restaurants and watch Illuminations.

I'm a big kid so there is no way I could be that close and not go to MK at least for 1/2 day and see spectromagic parade and ride my favorites!...actually I would go by myself during the day while you were at the convention and tell you to meet me there!!

Definitely I would do MVMCP Friday night, and you can gain admission to Magic Kingdom with your ticket at 4:00 p.m., even though the party doesn't start until 7:00 p.m.--a real deal for $52 or whatever the cost is around there. We went last year, my sister, husband, and I, and absolutely loved it! The shows, the parade, the fireworks, the hot chocolate and cookies, can't say enough about it!

We just went to Sea World and really loved the shows! It is very close to the Convention Center if you are at the Orange County Convention Center. Another favorite of ours is Epcot--make a nice dining reservation and just enjoy a day there on Saturday...I think you might be in time for the Wine Festival going on now...not sure when it ends.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be great.

I would vote for Epcot with my DH. Have a nice dinner in one of the countries and wait for Illuminations Fireworks. Maybe on the next day do Rainforest Cafe or some other restaurant in Orlando. Whatever you can think of, it is probably there.
