What to do when arriving late

We will be arriving on April 9th (originally the 10th)... but we found a direct flight that is cheaper and gives us a whole extra day. The flight arrives at 11:03. I called MS and they can get me in a room, but I need to "buy" 10 one time points, so $150. I looked at at Pop and it was over $170 for the night. Should I just stay off site?

Personally I would pay the one time points and stay at the resort you are originally staying at.

For us, a real bonus to having the extra day is being in the room, not having to wait to check in. Would it be less to find something from rent/trade board. I suppose, what you're saving on the flight, you're spending, but I would try to stay in the room that I already have.

as soon as I hung up with MS, I knew I should have just made the one time purchase. We are flying in at 7pm and landing at 11. We can just check-in, get settled and start our trip. 5 nights at BWV in a pool/garden studio and no split stay! Worth the $150!!!

Key words are ( they can get you in a room) but will it be the same room or will you have to check out -in again.
You need to call and ask if you can add a day to your ressie , if its available you can get it.

I called and got the extra day at BWV in a studio pool/garden room. MS said that since the room was exactly the same as i already had, he would link the reservation, just make sure when I check in, that it is in fact linked so I don't have to check out!

We were planning on flying out Sunday, but I found a direct flight cheaper on Sat. Night then a flight on Sunday morning. We usually spend the night before a morning flight in a hotel at the airport anyway, so now we are just spending the extra night at WDW! I would call that a good trade up! Sleep in on Sunday, pick up some morning snacks at BW Bakery and just have a nice, lazy, Sunday morning!

Pay $185+tax for Pop or a flat $150 for BWV... not to hard of a decision there. Rental cars seemed really high as well.

Also off site you wouldn't get ME and that is prob same price. Smart move! I would do the same thing.

Even got our flights booked today! Departing Minneapolis at 6:55 pm! Ready to enjoy our Sunday morning at BWV!

DSis and I will be at AKV April 13 to 17th. She wound up staying a bit longer in Florida because the flights for her on Palm Sunday were out of sight. I got my ticket for miles way back when.

Is there a chance we'll overlap?

Definitely best decision. Too much time could be wasted if you check in and out from another hotel and then check in at Disney. Have a good trip.
