Ugh. I hate making decisions sometimes! :headache: I currently have POP booked for 4 nights in August. I just called to find out how much it would be to upgrade to a moderate resort. Since it's myself and my sister going, and we're splitting the room cost straight down the middle, it would be a little over $100 for each of us if we decided to upgrade to a moderate. Oy! I don't know what to do. While the extra $100 could be easily spent on something else, it also sounds nice being able to stay in a little bit nicer resort.

What would YOU do?

>>>>>In August I would definately upgrade to a better resort. 100.00 isn;t really that much. I think you'll be a lot happier in a mod.

I guess I'd say that depends on you and your sister. Are you accustomed to amenites at hotels or always stay at upgraded facilities? IF so you might not like the values. On the other hand, if you're not going to be in your room during the day, would you rather take that savings and do something special - perhaps a behind the scenes tour, an upscale dinner, souvenirs, etc.

is it your first trip? do you have "expectations" on your accommodations? Are you wanting a resort close to a particular park?

like I said, it depends. you CANT make a bad decision; whatever way you go, remember, it's Disney so it'll be just fine!

For $100 to get a better resort, yeah I would do it

My vote would be to upgrade. If you are a cost-benefit analysis person (as I am), think of it in terms of $100 (or even $200) divided by years and years of memories. It might only come out to a couple bucks a year by the time you're an old Disney geezer like me. I would upgrade. Good luck and enjoy.

I would upgrade...no doubt about it.

Love that CBR:beach: !!

I would up grade also.........don't forget all the tour groups that are at the value in the sumertime........UUUUUGGGGG!

I say upgrade, you will not be sorry if for anything comfort.:)

For $100 per person? That's definitely a great deal! I would go for it! Port Orleans Riverside is a great mod with lots to do. Check it out!

Whatever you decide, have a great time!

Well, I lost sleep over this last night... lol

I really think we should upgrade. But I am concerned about convincing my sister. I know she'll think $100 is too much. But that's just her.

So I got to thinking...what about a split stay between POP and POR or POFQ? Two nights at POP and then two nights elsewhere? Is it too short of a trip to worry with trying to move for just two nights?

I would upgrade, but only if the extra $100 or so a person isn't going to put a major strain on the budget.

When you look at the big picture, $100 per person really isn't a lot of money. You'll be getting a great pool, lots of dining choices, and more choices of location and transportation.

Hit all ears: http://www.allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm Look at the fact sheets, and show them to your sister. Then mention the $100.

I would and did upgrade. We originally planned on staying at ASMo. We got a quote for ASMu and POFQ and the difference was $200 for our 7 night stay (we got a code) so we went ahead and upgraded.

ummm...why is this a question?!!

UPGRaDE WOman!!!! (LOL>>>just kidding)

Love pop, but for that amount...extra amenities, etc, more room in your room..and your splitting your costs for the room??

No split stay...
