What to do w/ kitty when people come to look @ my house?

Slightly off topic, but does anyone find it bizzare that buyers go into a home and are anywhere from turned off to down right insulted if there is any hint that a pet lives there? I'm not talking about a house that the owner obviously doesn't keep clean, but your average home. Seriously, it's someone else's home...yes they are trying to sell it but they also have to live there!

Same goes with the occasional left out toy or a basket of laundry in *gasp* the laundry room. Seriously people, focus on the fact that the furnance is older than you are or the roof looks like it might only have a few years left, not that the kids room has a few match box cars on the floor or that there is a litter box in the corner of a basement.

hear hear!!!

I was always amazed at comments. One was that the house looked "lived in" really ya think??? Its 40 years old!!! we all start looking that way around 40!

When I look at a house, I am looking at the bones of the house, the amount of space, how much work I would need to do to make it mine.

I couldnt care less if there are a couple of toys around or even what the paint colours are. Our last house had BLUE cabinets. We still bought it because we loved the house. I painted the cabinets.

but hey, I tend to be a reasonable person so who knows? :confused3
