We will have to leave for the airport at 5:30 am on our first day of our trip.

Our flight leaves NJ at 7:30 am.

What should we do that afternoon? We will be tired but have to go to one place. Any advice?

We will arrive at 10:45 at MCO. We usually just unpack, (if our suitcases get to our room quickly), go for a swim. Once everyone is refreshed, we go to dinner. Last year we went to RFC at DTD. And once our tummies are full, we do alittle shopping and head back to the resort fairly early.

We start doing the parks after a good night's sleep. Especially if you go in the summer months, I can't hit the parks after getting up at 4:00 am and dealing with the heat and crowds.....I can't deal with that and my kids either.

We used to check in then run to MK--with two little ones we decided we were crazy. Then we came up with the idea of checking in, spending the afternoon at the pool, then heading to Chef Mickey's for dinner. This works better for us.

We do about the same. We always take the early flight and get into our resort (AKL, everytime) alittle before lunch. After checkin, we hit the pool for a few hours, then cocktails at Victoria Falls, and Dinner at Jiko. It's become a family tradition! ::MickeyMo

We're arriving at noon, so we're going to hit the pool, then we have an AR for dinner with the princesses in Norway.

Less than a week until we go :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

These are very good ideas, I was wondering also what to do on that first day. I too have a flight at 7 am from providence and that means getting up around 3 for me and ny boyfriend. I didnt want to waste a day but enjoy disney without being anymore tired than i will already be from the flyt. Thxs for all the great tips.!!!!!!

DS13 & I have a 7am flight from TF Green (Providence) in Aug. We'll need to leave the house by 4am.
We have a lunch PS at Whispering Canyon (checking into VWL), then will spend time at the pool until our room is ready.
We then have a dinner PS at GF Cafe
We'll head back to WL to watch the EWP and MK fireworks then its off to bed.
Our first full day we have PS at Chef Mickey's for brkfst.

We originally were planning on going to DTD, because we arrive at 10:45am that day too. But, we decided to go swimming for a little once we get to hotel (CSR!!!), then we are going to have dinner in Mexico and watch Illuminations that nite. Can't wait! Only a month to go...

We got up at 3 am for our last trip, got to the hotel around 11, took our carry ons to our room and headed to EPCOT for lunch with the princesses. We hung around EPCOT for a while then headed back to the room for unpacking and a good nights rest.

we usually check in, check out the resort and relax before heading out to dinner somewhere in the world....:)

We are getting in very early also. We want to check in and the guys are going to play golf. We have plans to meet at the Polynesian, get a wonderful tropical drink and go to the beach to watch the electric water parade.

We fly from Logan on August 15th at 8:30. We're going to check in/leave our carry on bags grab a bite to eat at PORiverside, then head right over to the Magic Kingdom. Our DD7.5 would never forgive us if we did anything else. And I know what people's feelings are about EMH, but the day we get there is an EMH night for the MK so we may just make it as leisurely an afternoon/evening as we can. We'll get there, grab an FP for Space Mountain (since my DD7.5 is now tall enough), go get in line for Buzz, work our way over to Thunder and Splash, and if that is all we can get in before our 6pm dinner at Crystal Palace, so be it.

We have another 1.5 days planned back at the MK during the week, so we'll hit things as we can.

Get settled and for MK! By late afternoon some of the early patrons will be heading to the pool and you will have the late afternoon and evening to "do your thing." After the fireworks, I would head home for a good nights rest.

Make a ressie at Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace.

Check in, go to Downtown Disney and hang out.

We do the same thing every trip. We usually arive at Noon, check-in, head up to our room, change our clothes (usually come from below zero weather), and head over to MK. We always go straight to PotC, then to Splash Mnt, head over to the hot dog stand in front of the DHS grab some dogs and head to main street. Find the best spot for the parade hang out enjoy the sites and wait for the parade. Of course this year we will have to make a stop at PPF because our DD LOVES Peter Pan. We have done this for the past 6 trips. I don't feel like I'm in WDW until I hear "Yo ho yo ho a priates life for me!!!"

I'm with the majority. We check in, relax and go out to dinner. Next day is PARK DAY!
