We arrive around 10am on a Wednesday. I'm buying 6 day tickets so we can go to a park that day, but I'm not sure where. I thought about Epcot. We never really spent very much time in WS on previous trips so maybe that would work. We could take our time, enjoy being at Disney again finally, then head back to the room for a good night's rest to go to MK the next day. We do have more time scheduled at EPCOT later in the week to do rides and such.

I think that makes us two EPCOT days, two MK days, 1 AK and 1 MGM. Of course there will be parking hopping in there and maybe EMHs sometimes.

Does that sound like a decent first day or should we jump right in and go to MK for EMH that night? Definately will need afternoon rest time if we do that.

BTW, its me and my 9yo DD.

we usually arrive in the evening so we get settled in the room then head to the pool for some night swimming & relaxation! ::MinnieMo

I would have a look at touringguides.com and see which Disney park is the quietest, then go to that one.

We sometimes do what your are suggesting. Go to Epcot for the evening. We would have a nice dinner somewhere and then tour the WS or do some rides if you wanted to. Other times we have gone to Downtown Disney for the evening. Either way, we have fun! :flower:

First night is always a nice time to do a special dinner. Chef Mickey's, or Cinderella and friends at the Grand Floridian are 2 that I have done with the Grandkids first night to give them a taste of what's to come.
Have also taken them on the monorail from the Contemporary for a trip around and thru Epcot as a sneek peek.
They loved it.

We are arriving at 11am (approx.). The plan is to check in, see if our room's ready. If it's not, we'll swim/walk around the resort until it is. We have groceries being delivered from wegoshop at 3:30 - hopefully we'll be in the room by then.

After that, we're heading over to the MK. The plan is to pretty much focus on seeing SpectroMagic. So, we'll grab a quick dinner, get some rides in if we can, and snag a great seat.

We jump right in and head to the MK, it's like an Disney injection that put's us in the spirit, but we don't do the whole first day there. We usually do dinner at Epcot that night.

plane lands at MCO 10am - planning on WL pool until checkin
then Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner and pool (DVC), see Wishes maybe from Poly?, watch the EWP and get up the next morn for Chef Mickey's brkfst and pool

We will also be arriving on a WEd. around 10:45 am and we bought 7 day MYW.

We will upgrade them to 10 day so we will be using 5 this trip and 5 more on another trip in the near future:cool1: .

We will probably settle in our room, go for a swim in the afternoon, early dinner at 1900 Park fare....first time up close at the GF!!!

And we will head down to DTD to get me a Pal Mickey !!!!! DH wants to give the water mice a try and we will pretty much call it a night so we can get up bright and early for MK the next day!!!!

We'll be arriving early afternoon so we will likely check out the room, resort ground go swimming and if we feel energetic after a 7 hr drive we may check out the mini golfing Have a great Vacation!! Kathy

I'd definitely jump right in and go to MK and EMH for the night. I'd also schedule a character dinner too!! I love to go to MK on our first night to get the true Disney magic feel right away!! I am going with my dd (11) in 2 weeks and we are hitting the MK on the first day too. Plus it's a Wednesday and EMH how can you ask for anything better than that??

Good luck deciding!!

We have the same "first day" routine - arrive at the Poly around noon, have lunch at Kona Cafe, swim at the volcano pool (and drink Pina Coladas and Lava Flows!), dinner at Chef Mickey's, then end the day watching the EWP from the Poly dock.

It's such a great time because we know we have the whole week to look forward to!

Debbie

I think we'll probably go to Epcot. If there's not much of a wait for TT and Spaceship earth, we'll try to ride those that night. Spaceship Earth is one of our favorites. Maybe Mission Space will have little lines too. lol

No matter how short a day we have we still head over to the MK the first day. We also do the MK the second day too as we never get enough time the first day.

We are doing Epcot the first night also. We will be getting to our resort around 3, check in and settled and then head over to WS. Have dinner around the world!!
I think depending on the day(if it was a good touring park day) and if MK would be open later ( won't be tomorrow for us since it is grad night) then We might go to MK.

First off I love your name nluvwithmickey...secondly you are doing exactly what we are doing with our passes... we bought the 10MYW with non exipry and included the water parks so all together with our passes from last year we have 12 reg park days and 6 waterparks I'm hoping to get 3 trips outta them. Our travel agent managed to get the 10days as part of a pkg!! Have fun on your trip

Our plane arrives at MCO at 6:33am! I've made a PS for breakfast at Ohana's for 10:10am. If our room is not after that, we'll head over to DD or Epcot for a short stay.

Since we're arriving so early, I know it won't be long before my 4 year old DD needs some down time - so I don't want to do MK on the first day. I'm pretty much leaving the first day open to relaxing and just taking in all the "magic"! :wizard:
