What to do on arrival day

Our flight arrives in Orlando at 9AM on Sat, 4/29. I was thinking of checking in at the Poly and going to Typhoon Lagoon. Do you think that this is a good idea or would we be better off going to Disney Quest? I am wondering if Typhoon Lagoon will really be crowded. I think that it opens at 8. We are traveling with our 6 year old triplets.
Thanks!
Missy

:goodvibes Be busy, maybe go to Fort Wilderness and let them run and play and feed the farm animals, plus they have pony rides. Then maybe go to DTD and let them play in squirt fountains and Leggo play area.Just suggestions, have a magical trip. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Having stayed Poly and really like it, an afternoon at the Volcano pool might just be the ticket. A ride on the monorail to the CR and a boat ride out the back dock to FW is one of our first day deals. Trails End is a quaint resturant, alot of petting animals there plus the horse barn where the Disney horses are kept. I'ld personally save a water park for another day, hit it in the am and when the brutal sun comes out or you're beat, head off to DTD and DQ, not too fond of DQ, can be packed and kinda expensive unless you're into video games and such. CR has the biggest gameroom on property, and a roll of quarters will go along way there, also the shopping is great too.

I guess the big question is what time did the kiddos have to get up to arrive by plane at 9am? Although a nap probably isn't an option since you most likely won't be able to check in that early, I'd try for something that wasn't too demanding. Are the triplets boys or girls? I have a 6 year old girl and I'm worried she won't like Disney Quest (but will be tagging along since we have 2 older boys who are 10 and 8). I know some people say parks aren't a good idea on arrival day, but I'm wondering if a park like MGM would be good for you since there alot of sit-down shows so they can rest if they start to wear down. As soon as your room is ready (usually by 3ish, sometimes earlier I'm told), maybe you all could sneak in a nice nap for a couple hours before having a nice relaxing dinner and early to bed. Good luck and have fun!!!

We usually like to take it easy on our arrival trip. Usually a trip to DTD, or relax by the resort pool. That way we can get back at a reasonable hour, and start first thing the next morning!

DBF and I usually drop our stuff in the room and head to MK! However, with triplets, I like the taking it easy and relaxing by the pool gig. Sounds nice and rejuvenating after the travel.

We typically wander DTD and also play a couple of rounds of miniature golf at Winter Summerland.
