What to do, oh what to do

Here is the problem. We are booked for 4 nights at the Poly this Dec. I right now have a AAA discount but still am paying $254.00 per night. We have already stayed at the Poly once and enjoyed it a lot. I want to switch to POR to save money and based on the positives I have read about POR here and on other sites like this one. We have not stayed there before. I don't know if I should wait to see if Disney comes out with some very good discounts for Dec. to make the stay worth it or just switch now. We are also staying 3 nights at the AKL and will not be touching those reservations. As I figure it , the saving could be around $600.00 but as I mentioned what if Disney comes out with a real good discount for Dec. later this year. I hate to keep switching the reservation abound...smjj

Never stayed at the Poly, but have stayed at POR and it is a great resort. I would sit tight and wait for the fall discounts to come out.

Do what you feel most comfortable with. If you think you could stand the cost of the poly if it were discounted further, keep your ressy and hold out for a better deal.

If not, switch your ressy to POR. I have stayed at POR and it was ok for a few days but, I didn't want to stay for the full eleven so switched to WL - am a WL addict I am afraid. But, it is nice and should be fine for a three day trip. The pool there is great for kids. My kids loved it and want to pool hop to POR when we go on our DVC trip in September.

Some things to think about ... Do you have children? Do you like the convenience of the monorail & TTC? Do you like having few food choices? Is AKL in the beginning or end of your trip? (I love AKL!) Have fun wherever you stay - you will be on WDW property!
