We are in Anaheim, staying at the Tropicana.
We are worried about doing Disney on the 4th because of the crowds.

Other suggestions of things to do on the 4th?

If we go to a beach, Huntington or Santa Monica, what time would we need to arrive there to get parking and a space?

How is Knotts on the 4th?

Any other suggestions would be great. There is 8 of us, 4 adults, 4 teens aged 15-19.

Thanks!

The 4th is not a great beach day, especially if you're going to a place that has bbqs or a fireworks view. You'd have to get there in the morning and camp out all day and really protect your territory on a crowded beach.

Check to see what's open that day. Maybe Aquarium of the Pacific, but I think they host a BBQ that requires an extra ticket. I've heard there's a fireworks show at the Long Beach Marina. I believe that the Queen Mary also hosts a hard ticketed event with a fireworks view.

I agree with the previous poster that the 4th is not a great beach day (unless you get there super early and don't mind crowds...).

Knott's is fun on the 4th; this will be my 3rd year going in a few days. They have a fireworks show, patriotic music & an indoor ice skating show to watch and cool off for a while in.
