What to do in Charlotte

We are going to Charlotte for the weekend and will be going to the football game that Sunday. What is there for us to do on Saturday?

Adults only. Just DH and I. I love to shop...DH, not so much

Not sure on what to do. I don't think there is much to do around here but I have a kid so my adult activites are limited. But you have to try Mert's Heart and Soul in uptown. The best fried chicken ever. Cornbread to die for.

There are TONS of museums and galleries uptown. There's also the new Epicentre which has a bowling alley, a dueling piano bar, a movie theater, and loads of bars and restaurants. In the Uptown area in general there are lots of fun little shops to check out.

If you leave the Uptown area there is a National whitewater center, Latta Plantation, The Raptor center for birds of Prey, The Daniel Stowe Botanical gardens, Lowes Motor Speedway, Concord Mills Outlet Mall, and The NC Auto Racing Hall of Fame. If you leave Charlotte proper there also loads of wineries in the area.

Well, I'm assuming if you or DH were a NASCAR fan, you would know there are several of the team shops/headquarters there that you can tour. Plus, there's Lowes Motor Speedway where can potentially tour and certain weekends they host the Richard Petty driving experience where you can ride along or drive a race car.
Also, there is Carowinds...depending on what kinds of things you like.
