We will be going at the end of June. If it is raining ( not a little but pouring). What are some suggestions to do. Any ideas would be helpful! Although I do know a rainy day at Disney beats a sunny day at work!!!! :thanks: :thanks:

Maybe shopping in Downtown Disney as some of the shopping is connected inside, and then while you're there, go to Disney Quest. A few weeks ago when we were there, it downpoured for a day and a half. We tried to deal with it with ponchos and umbrellas in the parks, but it wasn't a very comfortable way to spend the day.

Bring panchos and go to the parks. Wear crocs so you aren't getting wet socks. Have fun!

Put on a lightweight rain jacket or poncho and go to the AK. The animals are out and about in the rain.

Whatever you do.........DON'T do nothing. Rain should never spoil your precious Disney time! I think the best park to go to would be Epcot (Future World). There are several pavilions with a couple different attractions and most attractions are pretty long in duration. Also, going in mid summer, you will be fighting crowds......but not if it rains! I agree that Disney Quest and/or shopping in the World of Disney in DD is another great idea. Have fun!

As others have said, get ponchos or a rainsuit and carry it with you all the time. Don't let a sunny morning fool you. The rains will come up fast so you need to be prepared. We've endured many, many storms at Disney World. We just kept doing what we were doing. One of the best trips was at Animal Kingdom when it was raining sideways (seriously). We walked onto everything, saw tons of animals. We've also done Epcot, MGM, and Magic Kingdom in the rain. We were there for 10 days one June and it rained every day. I mentioned that to people back home and they said "oh, that's too bad". I replied "no, it was better than ever".

our last (and final) summer visit - July 2003, it rained every day, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for 3 or 4 hours in the afternoon.

1. it cools down things, which is greatly appreciated in the summertime!
2. it thins out the crowds - seperates the men from the boys - so to speak.

What's that mean - A GREAT TIME TO VISIT THE PARKS! Yes, you get a little wet, as the ponchos (Mickey is on them!) don't cover everything, and some of the rides will close if thunder/lightning is in the area, but you can have a good time. Go enjoy the parks, that's what we did.

I agree get panchos and go to the parks, don't let the rain stop you.

most of the day but its not a storm with lightning the best place we found to spend the day is one of the water parks. Seems most people can't figure out they are already in the water and rain is the same but they tend to leave making the park almost empty. We just switch some of our park days over to the rain day water park and have the whole place to ouraelves. Problem is, the more people that catch on, the more people stay and the secret is out.

Another option that we choose is to go to Downtown Disney and see a movie at the AMC 24. It's an awesome theatre and there is always something good playing. Don't worry too much, though. We've gone in June a million times, and when it rains, it'll pour for like 10-15 minutes and then the suns out again. :tigger: :mickeyjum
