Got a cat 6 booked today for the westbound repo cruise.

What airport would be better to return from in Cal? If I pickup transfers with Disney will they go to multiple airports???

Can't book airfare yet but would like to get an idea ....

Thanks

There are three airports reasonably by - Long Beach Airport would be ideal - But there are like 4 airlines that use that airport -Very Small - But worth it if you can get a flight in -

Los Angeles (LAX) - Probably the cheapest airport, but the busiest - I don't like to fly out of there much - Big, busy, - etc.

Orange County Airport (SNA) - Great airport - Clean, pretty small airport - Runs smoothly -

Hello KaitlinsMom- I wonder if you could answer a few questions for me. First, I usually have rapid rewards tickets from Southwest, so the airfare is free, which airport would you suggest I fly into? Southwest goes to all 4 local airports LAX,SNA,BUR and ONT. Second, which airport would be the best to stay over at if I flew in the day/evening before. (Do you think it would be possible to fly in on the day of the cruise and make it to the port?) Third, how is transportation to the port, time and distance and are there any car service companys that you know of from these airports or car rentals with drop off at the port.

Thanks for any help. Mark

I avoid LAX if at all possible. I will even pay a little more $ to avoid it. It reminds me of a bus station!

I suggest flying into Orange County then - Like the previous poster stated - LAX is like a bus station - Not to mention the fact of all the terror threats they get -

If you fly into Orange County - It's only about 30-45min drive to port (depending on which terminal they are using) So you bcould make it to port if you flew in the same day (as long as there are now delays)

I am not too familiar with shuttle services - Just Super Shuttle - I can check into this though because I know this question will come up a lot -

I am waiting to here what terminal they are using and then I will be able to find out car rental information - If they are using the Carnival terminal - that is by the Queen Mary - If they are using Royal Carr. or one of the others, then that is in San Pedro (about 8 minutes away from the other one)

I am more than happy to help - So any other questions, let me know!

I wonder if there will be transportation from Disneyland to the port? If so, SNA (Orange County) would be ideal since it is only minutes away from DL. And as others have pointed out, it's also the nicest airport in the area!
