We are on Aug 20 repo, and I have scheduled excursions for Cabo (Chileno Bay snorkeling), and Curacao (Day at the Beach). Heard great reports on those from recent posts. We just don't know what to do in Acapulco. My mom really wants to see the cliff divers..... I have a DS9, and DD6, along with my DH, and my parents. Would love to get suggestions from people who have done something fun in Acapulco..... doesn't necessarily have to be an organized Disney Excursion.....

My family did the family Beach break excursion. It was a lot of fun. :) My DH also rented a Jet ski on the beach for about $30 for 1/2 hour. The buffet lunch tasted really great....and the service of the servers was outstanding. The price of the excursion included an open bar and unlimited drinks...the servers made sure we were never empty on drinks. We had a really fun day. :)

I'm the mom that wanted to see the cliff divers, but it is great hear that you liked the Family Beach Excursion since we are tentatively booked on it. Hope to hear from some others about what they did in Acapulco. I think the grandchildren will enjoy the beach the most and could be bored by the cliff divers - if they have fun so will we.

We did the Aca Beach Club and it was fabulous!!!! The entire place was spotless. We never did make it down to the beach. We stayed at the pool. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent. I was impressed with all the places we ate at in Mexico....I wish the restaurants here would take notice. Everyone handling food wore a hairnet and the people preparing the food had masks on as well. As far as the facilities, again spotless!

We just got off the may repo cruise. It is very easy to see the cliff divers on your own. There are many taxis that can accomodate your family. When you arrive at la perla (the restaurant), there is a hostess you can go to and pay $12 per person for special seating to watch the cliff divers. This is excellent. Your fee comes with two free drinks each. I am not sure what they charge for kids, if the price is different or not.

Acapulco is a very large, busy city.

Were drinks served from the can/bottle or were they on ice? I'm concerned about any stomach issues due to water.

You can ask for the drinks without ice. Bring bottled water with you. I don't know if the ones mentioned were with or without ice though. Sorry.
