We were planning to gave one evening spent at FW with dinner @ HDDR and then the haunted carriage ride. Since both are now out because of HDDR refurb and no haunted carriage rides this year, what would you recommend to a couple in their 30s to do for a night hanging out @ FW? Not sure if the campfire sing-a-long is really something we'd want to do.

Bring a bottle of red wine and order a pizza from the tavern. Sit outside on the porch and enjoy the best meal around!;) Then watch the firwork show and the water parade.

My DH and I just get us some drinks, go looping & riding around in the golf cart then we watch the electric light parade & Fireworks and really enjoy the campground. It is very relaxing and we enjoy doing nothing for a night. It seems like you are always on the go the rest of the time.

Is the best place to watch Wishes and electrical water pageant from the beach at the FW marina?

Snow Wight, yes that is best place to watch it from. It is the only place to see the electric light parade @ FW & since they built the DVC @ the Contemporary I believe it is the only place you can see Wishes from. Plus @ the marina they have the music with Jimminie (?) Cricket playing during it.
