My 180 mark was Monday...
Got ADRs for
12/8 Trails End Dinner
12/9 Homecomin Brunch
12/10 Hollywood & Vine Lunch
12/11 Crystal Palace Breakfast
12/12 Sanaa Lunch
12/13 Tusker House Breakfast
12/13 Ohana Dinner

Took me months to set up a vaca plan and figure out what parks on what days and researching restaurants.. etc... and now I feel at a loss... like what do I do for the next 120 days until I make FP+???
I dont like this long break in between!!!
Sorry.. just venting!!!

I agree 100%. I can hardly wait for FP to open up. I wish it was closer together too!

Well, if you're anything like me, you'll change your plans around a few times. I'm at 70 days now and I think I've done a shuffle of my plan 3 times already. Adding stuff/moving stuff, etc... All my hard to get ADRs stay static, but the ones that still have openings on various days are fair game. Plus, the extra ticketed events I wanted (like dessert parties, halloween party, etc..) weren't all open at my 180 days, so that stuff gets added in (that tends to be when I re-look at my full plan). I feel I'm not totally locked in until my fastpass selection day.

Now you begin to second guess yourself and continue to adjust your plans up until a fews days before you leave.

Just kidding - but not really.

We always end up changing our minds about what park we want to go to each day and where we think we will want to eat so it's a continual process for me. In the end it usually doesn't matter much anyway because we end up cancelling over 50% of our ADRs and FPs. I love to plan but once we get there we really just do what we feel like doing in the moment.

I spend those days reading what others have done, plan to do or are doing and then second guess what our plans are. Rarely, do I make any changes. I also spend the time rethinking what we want for FPs when the time comes up. And rethinking what times we want the FPs for.

I eagerly look at on-ride Youtube videos, even if I've ridden a million times already.

I obsess over park maps, mainly to always know where the nearest bathroom and/or baby care center is at.

But we're abnormal in that we never plan ADRs or FPs in advance more than a few days, so I don't worry too much about all that.

Yep- I'm like the others! I change my mind on what we want to do and where we want to eat!! But, I think it's good to keep thinking about plans and change them if you need to. I like to watch ADR's as sometimes you find a better time or want to trade out what you have to something else!

It will be FP day in no time!!

I’m constantly tweaking my plans and then it’s FP time and start tweaking all over again. To me that’s a part of the fun of the trip.

Thanks for all the advice!!!!!! I literally obsess over everything.. and I know I will stare at my schedule and make so many changes over the next 4 months!!!!!! There are 2 nights without ADR' I keep going back and forth on.. we'll see!!!!!!! I just wish it wasnt such long breaks in between booking everything!!!!

Do some form of countdown

Pull every recorded movie that you have in a case that pertains to a disney ride. Example: Mr Toads Wild Ride, Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland etc.
Every night, watch a movie and put it away When you have watched the last movie, you are going to the parks the next day. This does a couple things.

  • It engages the young ones anticipation keeping the event in the forefront of their mind
  • It reminds them of the movies so when they ride the rides, they can associate the ride with the movie
  • It gives them a tangible measure of how long until the trip by watching the stack dwindle in size

This. My FPs haven’t changed, it was 9 days ago, but I’ve changed around a few dining plans. A few aren’t going anywhere but I’ve made and cancelled probably upwards of 20 other. I read a thread and think: oh that sounds good! Try to squeeze it in. Make an ADR. Rethink it. Then cancel. :lmao: My newest victim is GF Cafe. I haven’t cancelled it though......yet.

I say relax and enjoy. :) Booking ADR's this time was stressful. I'm seriously glad it's over. I mean first I had to be up in the middle of the night to try and nab FD, then ADR's and next is FP+ I can't wait until this getting up in the middle of the night stuff is done and over with.. It's exhausting... Now I can relax for 120 days...lol Obviously I made my ADR's in the middle of the night last night and am a bit tired and at work today... :crazy2:
