What to do for special CMs?

Any ideas? I was thinking about making up little cards to say "Thank you for making our day magical..." or something like that but otherwise I'm stumped. I just wanted something I could keep in my pocket and if some pixie dust comes my way I could give it to a CM or whoever I might happen to see doing something extra special. What have ya'll done? Thanks!!!
 
Yes a small card would be great
maybe attach a small candy and end it with WHAT A SWEETY YOU ARE.
 
And if they do something really nice, get their name and report them to Guest Services or someone. Tell Guest Services what a nice person the CM was and how they helped you.
 
Or, you could write a letter and it will be put in their file to review when promotion time comes around. I think that would be more appreciated than a card. It is a little more time consuming however. I guess it depends how special the CM was. But by all means report it as you exit the park. It will only take 5 minutes.
 

definitely stop at guest services (just make sure that you have as much info on the cm as possible- i.e. name, location, time of day, etc)

If you want to give them immediate praise you can also just ask to speak to one of the managers (a lot of times they're relatively close by)

I went on line to VistaPrint.com, and ordered "free" business cards (I had to pay for S/H). I chose a design that had three sets of colorful "hand prints" on the right hand border, and then I inserted my own special messages in the lines that would normally be used for a company name, person's name, job title, etc. If you want to try this route, be prepared to spend 30-60 minutes on their site, choosing your design, tweaking your message (and constantly previewing what you have so far). Also, this won't work if you're going soon, because it takes a few weeks to receive the cards (unless you pay extra for express shipping). To give you an idea, here's what I did.

Incorporating the "hand" theme into the idea of "helping hands", the first line of text (which actually spread to two lines) says: "THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR LENDING A HELPING HAND!!!" The second message (on three lines) says: "YOUR KIND CONSIDERATION AND CHEERFUL ATTITUDE GREATLY ENHANCED OUR EXPERIENCE!!! GIVE YOURSELF A BIG HAND!!! (The colors shown here aren't as pretty as the ones on our cards, and I didn't have a choice. They were what automatically went with the hand design.)

Below that I listed each of our names, and our place in the family. (Grandmother; Mother and Daughter; Fiancee/Future Son-In-Law), followed by a line of text: "REMEMBER THIS DAY WHEN OTHERS TAKE YOU FOR GRANTED. I also included my name, address & email address at the bottom, with the invitation: "Feel free to respond to:"

I purposely didn't make the message especially for Disney or the holiday season, so we could use them at other parks, restaurants, stores, etc. My future son-in-law is confined to a wheelchair with muscular dystrophy, so we often encounter situations where a helping hand is needed.

Our address is going to change in about six months, and within a year my daughter's fiancee will become her husband. I think I may order a set of revised cards when it becomes appropriate - and carry a few in my purse at all times.

By the way, in addition to handing out these cards to CMs at Disney, I also intend to make a note of their names and where we encountered them, and report this information to the powers that be.

I like that idea - very nice!
