Okay, so here's our plan as far as meals go for our Disneyland day.
Breakfast: Continental at hotel.
Snacks: our own and anything we desire along the way!
Lunch: Carnation Cafe @ around 11-11:30 ish
Dinner: 5-6pm @ ???? This is where I need help!

We would love to eat somewhere good but not too pricey. We would rather not spend too much money so that we can have some snacks along the way! Any ideas? :yay: Thanks!

What type of food do you like? Do you want another sit-down table service meal or a counter service type meal?

How many of you are there?

We like Pizza Port in Tomorrowland. It's counter service. We like all the pasta choices and the salads aren't bad, but no one in our family likes the pizza. The portions are large enough to buy a couple and share around but also tolerably enough priced for everyone to have their own.

A couple of other good choices are Plaza Inn and French Market, also both counter service. The Plaza Inn chicken portion is very large. DH and I can easily feel satisfied after splitting this. You get three pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a biscuit. French Market has a number of nice choices, some more shareable than others, and we enjoy the location for people watching, etc.

There will be 5 of us...3 adults and 2 kids (5 and 2 y.o.). We like most kinds of food but the kids can be picky. I don't mind if it is counter or table service. Just want a good value!!!

Plaza Inn is really good, we like to grab 1 chicken dinner, a side salad and a soda and DBF and I share. The girls each get a kids meal and after dinner we get a dessert and enjoy the fireworks show. :) We tend to eat later. :)

LOL...absolutely love the Corn Dogs here too. It's one of our favorite meals!

For value the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA is pretty good as well. Their bread bowl soups or salads are filling and really yummy. We also like Rancho del Zocalo in DL.

Oh ya, gotta have a corn dog. The ONLY corn dogs I will eat at at DL/DCA. :)

I too like Rancho Del Zocalo. I like the atmosphere they have and good food.

I suggest you take a look in the food threads and pick out someplace you think you'd like to try. There are so many options and everybody has an opinion ;) My only thought is that since you're doing CC during lunch (in the parks) maybe venture out to DTD for dinner? We like Tortilla Jo's and Naples :thumbsup2

How is the Rain Forest Cafe?

This gets mixed reviews. Positives: Large menu. Fun atmosphere (But can be scary to little ones :scared1: )

Negatives: Pretty blah food (IMO). Really popular and crowded! If going during a peak time, I highly recommend calling them and getting a reservation (this is a direct line, separate from Disney Dining SoCal).

DH and I usually end up splitting an appetizer plate here while kiddos enjoy kid meals and the environment. It's all good. :thumbsup2

I really like RFC love the Maya's Combo with ribs, shrimp and chicken, kids love the Lava Nachos and hubby loves the seafood. It can be very loud and pricey, but we have always had good luck with the food. We also love Cafe Orleans, easily shareable meals to cut down costs.
