Quick question about meals....
We are staying at the CBR which has a "mediocre" food court quite a walk from our building. Would we be better off heading there for breakfast, or waiting and eating at the park of the day? Don't want to waste any time in a restaurant early in the day or spend early morning park time looking for food...Any helpful hints?

Welcome to the Dis Nattiecece:earsboy: To which park will you be headed? I think that much of what WDW has to offer at breakfast is "mediocre". Unless you're going to a character breakfast(which could also be mediocre) or the Kona cafe at the Poly (Tonga toast...mmmmmmmmm:D ), I'd get some rolls/donuts/juice/coffee, and try for an early lunch at the park.

That sounds like the plan. Quick, fattening breakfast at Food Ct at hotel and lunch at park. Have to be back early afternoon for naps anyway. Thanks so much for your input everyone!!

Most of the time we head to the park and grab something lite MK has a great bake shop on Main street and if you go to epcot the french pastery shop is a good place to start your day.

Several mornings we just ate breakfast bars that we had bought at our grocery stop at the bus stop while we waited. We would get our refills in our refill mug (we were very close to the food court) and pour those into the take out cups in our room so that we wouldn't have to carry our refill mugs around all day. You could also take instant oatmeal or something if you want a hot breakfast and use the water out of the coffee pot in your room.

We usually stop at a Publix on the way from the airport and pick up something that does not have to keep cold (a bag of mini-donuts or some other pastry) and some coffee drinks (like Jakada or frappuccinos). In the morning whoever does not shower first goes to get ice and we pour the drinks and have a bite as we get dressed. That way if we get delayed getting to the parks (I have bad acid problems) we'll have something to hold us, and if we're still hungry when we get to the parks, we'll grab something somewhere, depending on how hungry we are. We don't buy these things at home, so it's a kind of treat for me (I love the mocha jakadas!).

Another thought: We try to go to the park that has early opening day. We try to get on as many things that we can and then we make a late priority seating at that park for breakfast. At this time we feel the need for a break and this way we're not too full to ride some of the motion rides which you might feel sick should you have a full stomach. Usually we won't have lunch because we won't be hungry again until dinner time - this saves time at the parks and money in your wallet.

Fort Wilderness, Trails End Buffet, has an excellent breakfast buffet. The problem is getting there if you are staying at another resort. Fort Wilderness Lodge you can just take the boat across and then board again for the Magic Kingdom. Since we are staying at the FW we will most likely be eating there alot. Tony's in the MK used to serve breakfast, was good but high $$. Have always had trouble finding breakfast at Disney.:wave2:

Good question - I was just thinking through this same dillema - what I think - stress think - I am going to do is go down to the food court the minute I wake up and grab food to go up to the room That way I hopefully miss the crowds in the food court and I don't waste those precious minutes during EE at MK - which is terrible for grabbing a quick breakfast other than the pastry shop.
