Ok going on July 29th.

What is best to do first these days- most popular?

At MK - DD's will want to see Fairies and Rapunzel. Can you see Rapunzel at all if you wait till later in the day? How does the Rapunzel meet and greet work?

At HS - DS will probably want to do Star Wars Fight Darth Vader and see Phineas and Ferb. Are these both still busy? Should we go first thing to Star Wars and send DH to Toy Story for Fast Passes? I know they changed Star Wars to some sort of sign up sheet?

Where the heck is Mickey now? I know I can see princesses - well everywhere...

At MK, definitely do Rapunzel before anything else. She is crazy-popular, even without Flynn now. :sad1:

Mickey is available along with the princesses in the Town Square theater. Both these M&Gs offer FastPass now.

Can't help you with DHS, sorry.

The PP was correct with his information regarding Character M&Gs

As for your DHS questions: yes: send DH with all of your tickets to get TSM fastpasses while you head off with DS.

I think the activity you are talking about is the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy, not Star Tours which is a ride. You want to get to it ASAP to sign up on the list for a return time. Then, depending on when his time is, you can all go to see Phineas and Ferb.

In March at the MK, we walked up to the Rapunzel line at about 10:00 in the morning. We were told that the current line forming was for 12:30.

Yes, very popular!

Mickey is in Town Square theater and he is FP which I hear won't interfere with your regular FPs.
He is in Soccerer dress at DHS in animiation bldg.
At Epcot he is Character spot
And at AK he is in Camp Minnie/Mickey near Lion King in Camp gear.

The fairies are moving to the Adventureland veranda on July 28th. The time isn't mentioned on the blog (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2011/07/fairies-fly-to-magic-kingdom-park-july-28/).

Definitely send dh for fast passes....and if character pictures are important to you, then have a game plan for getting them done as early as possible. The bonus is you shouldn't be as sweaty as later in the day :)

Edited to add....when DH and I were in Disney last week (and the week before), every time we passed by the P&F M&G it was very busy. It's popularity hasn't dwindled.

Happy character hunting!

At MK-Rapunzel first then Fairies in Adventureland. Both will have long lines but the line for the Fairies should be inside.

Mickey, Minnie, and the Princesses are now at Town Square Theater. They have fast passes so take advantage.

At DHS-Phineas and Ferb have a 30-45 minute wait all day. They start around 10:30 am so depends on if you want to wait before they start or later during the day.

Jedi training has specific times during the day so grab a times guide and register.

Ok am I reading this right - That at 10 am the Rapunzel line was for 12:30? They were lining up 2 1/2 hours early? Not doing Rapunzel if that is the case. And if it is that bad they should add her greeting at another park. That is worse than anything we have ever experienced. I am not about to stand there for 2 1/2 hours- not fair to my DH or DS - but how disappointing - I know my girls would like to see her but that is too much. I have been known to wait an hour or even an hour and half for something the kids really want to do - but that is just silly! Definitely should add her in Epcot or something if that is the case. Scratch Rapunzel I guess. Now how do I talk the girls out of wanting to meet her....

That would be the point of going to Rapunzel early. The wait is not 2.5 hours at rope drop. There are quite a few threads on how insane the lines are for Rapunzel.

Actually, sometimes it is. At 9:15am when we were there in mid-May people were in line for the 11:15 show.

A lot of people are hoping that they will Fastpass the Fairies if they are indeed inside on the Veranda in order to keep the wait time down. Here's to hoping! :thumbsup2 It was an hour and a half to see the Fairies in Toontown last Sept. We met Tink with a 20 minute wait in Epcot in May. I kind of wish they would stay where they are now instead of moving back.

Sometimes. Still, I'm sure you would agree the OP's best hope for seeing Rapunzel with the least amount of waiting is to go immediately at rope drop.

Didn't realize it was that popular. I have been avoiding the boards for a long time. If it is that insane they need to add her somewhere else. Even when we went to see the faries a few years ago and they were still fairly new, it wasn't a two or three hour wait. My girls don't like her that much!;) Faries it is! I know an hour or even an hour and half can be common in busy times but 2 or 3 hours for a meet and greet seems a little crazy.

What I am trying to say is that if you go at rope drop, there's a chance your wait will be less than an hour. Really long waits like the PP mentioned are the exception, not the norm, at rope drop. Don't let that scare you off--recommend you go there first and if the CM says it's longer than you're willing to wait, then move on.

We just got back and were able to get in on one of the last M&Gs with Flynn there. We got in line at 9:15 AM and were in line for the 10:15 AM M&G. Also, something I haven't seen mentioned is that only one person has to wait in line. The CM will come by and ask how many in your party. I would send your DH off with DS to go do "boy things" if you're worried about waiting in a line being unfair to them (which I understand).

We also did the FPs for Mickey (and Minnie) and princess M&Gs and I would definitely do the FPs if the wait for either of them is over 15 minutes. The Mickey one doesn't affect your ability to get another FP for something else. I never did one for the princesses since the wait was ten minutes so I can't help you out with that one.
