Merry Christmas!

We'll be at WDW the last 2 weeks of October. We already have tix for MNSSHP on the 25th but not planning on going on 31st. What do people with young kids do for Halloween night around WDW if they're not going to MNSSHP?

DTD was suggested in one post here (with a crowd warning). Any other suggestions? We will have DD2 and DD5.5 and DGM with us.

Thx!

We had our 3 DGC ages 2,3 and 4 at WDW for Halloween week 2 years ago. DTD trick or treating wasn't nearly as crowded on the 30th as it was on the 31st. Also on the 31st there was trick or treating along the Boardwalk and a party on the Village Green at the BW. At the party they were giving out little crafts, temp tattoos and some other things. The children had a great time. We stopped by DTD that night, and there was a party there too. The night before (30th) I think there was only the trick or treating, it was more subdued that night (and it was raining).

Also, there may be something at the resort you're staying at, but that may be earlier in the day. We were at VWL and they had a parade for the kids around 5.

Rent a golf cart over at Fort Wilderness and go trick or treating,go on a haunted carriage ride, go to the campfire with chip and Dale and make smores and watch a movie. The campers at the fort put up se pretty awesome decorations and go all out for the little ones!!!

I am doing the MNSSHP on Thursday night instead of Halloween, I figured it would be less crowded. We are doing Mickey's BBQ and hanging out that night, I figured it would be good "down time" in the middle of our stay! We are staying at FWC and I have heard they do all sorts of neat things, campers are like a community, I can't wait. I just have to remember to bring along some bags of candy to give out... one more thing for the packing list!!! maybe I should pack some Halloween decorations too...

Yeppers maybe you should! Your family is going to have such agood time! Don't forget to pack your own smore stuff! It's a bit pricey. At the campfire!

Thx for the great suggestions! We are not staying on-site this time so not sure about crashing FW. A friend suggested going to Celebration so we might try that or maybe check out DTD (assuming our young girls don't become "Disney roadkill").

On our way to the Disney cruise, we stayed at Saratoga Springs on Halloween night. Our sons (10 and 5) wore costumes and we walked over to Downtown Disney, where there was plenty of trick-or-treating to be had for the general public. There were a couple of events going on too but we got kinda late to see what they were. Have fun!
