First of all, I LOVE this show; I haven't seen it in ten years and will be taking our kids for the first time! So excited!

We'll be at the 6:15 show and I'm looking for ideas for the remainder of the evening. Does the timing work out to watch fireworks from Fort Wilderness? Watch the outdoor movie? Ferry over to Magic Kingdom for Main Street Electrical Parade? Any suggestions or traditions would be great!

Thanks!

There are also horse-drawn wagon rides - the wagons are rather large and take you for a loop around the campgrounds. I did this last December when people had their campsites decorated, and it was really fun. More info can be found at this link:

You might want to call and double check the times if you're interested in that though, as the times I found listed were different than what were really happening, and we had to change our plans once we got out there. That link has information about the carriage rides as well.

We usually spend the day in the parks and then go to the HDDR so by the time we get out we are pretty beat ;) Last time, the bus was a bit of a wait so you might want to take that into account as well. We just go back to the hotel and enjoy the pool or play in the arcade.

I was going to suggest going back to the hotel as well, esp. if you have an early morning planned.

When we were there in the summer they had a Chip and Dale campfire with smores (had to purchase of course) and a movie onsite at the campground. We took a bus through to the area it was in after the dinner. This resort is HUGE!!! There is also a playground near the Hoop De Doo and my kids like to play there before we head back to the hotel. You can do the carriage or wagon rides too. Not sure of the prices though, but you could call to ask. Have fun!:goodvibes

We did the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue last April and loved it. We did the 6:15 show as well. Afterwards we headed back over to Magic Kingdom and played some more in the park before we headed back to the resort to rest up for our trip home the next morning.

I agree that depending on your kids ages, you might be ready to call it a day. The show is about 1 1/2 hour and then it takes a little while to get back to your resort if you use the buses.......... sooooo.

We called and made a reservation for the horse and carriage ride . It was wonderful ! All four of us really enjoyed it . I believe it was around 45.00 for 30-45 minutes - but that was 6 or 7 years ago.

We usually go to the 5:00 show and are beat by the time we are done. An entire day of touring in the hot sun and then taking at least an hour of transportation after the show puts us at the hotel @8-8:30pm. By then we are ready to just relax, take a swim, or just go to bed.
