What to do about Christmas presents?

We are going down 12/19-12/26. Since we will be there for Christmas, I'm not quite sure what I should do about presents. Santa usually leaves unwrapped gifts to find on Christmas morning at our house. I'm thinking about setting gifts out before we leave and taking a few small ones with us or buying some things down there. Since we are flying we can't take too much. If I buy things at the parks, is it possible to have them gift wrapped somewhere? Any ideas would be appreciated! :earsgirl:

We have been there several times over christmas with the same problem. We will get the kids out of the house early and leave things out so when they come home they we have our typical christmas. We also take some presents with us. We have taken an extra suit case just for the presents. If you are not able to do this I have heard of people packaging them and sending them to the hotel by mail or FedEx.

To add the the holidays you may consider packing a few string of lights. Many people will put these on their balconys during the holidays. It really helps putting you into the christmas sprit.

Have fun, we love the parks and resorts all decorated for christmas.

Thanks, I'm going to try to leave enough room in the suitcases to bring stuff home. Do you know if I can get anything gift wrapped?

We spent Christmas '03 at WDW and we left our Santa gifts at home before we left the house We also left an 'almost empty' glass of milk and a few crumbs left from cookies on a plate. We took all our small gifts (and that year I made sure all the non-Santa gifts were small ones like DVD's, personal CD players, CD player pouch, hair accessories, etc. We also took a small tree and lights, but we drove. About a week before we left, we had my daughters write Santa a note to let him know where we'd be and to just leave his gifts at home. I still have that note, it was so precious. Then on our first morning at WDW, Santa 'left a note' in the hotel room reassuring the children that he got their note and to have a good time. The girls were almost about to interrogate the maid that morning about how the note got into our room.

BTW - my friends daughter is in 3rd grade and teetering on that believe/not believe fence so she makes Santa, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny sign in. I guess she does handwriting analysis???!!

We will be at Port Orleans and the Poly for Xmas....December 17-27. I have three kids, who will be 13, 11 and 8. I plan to ship ahead a small box, with the small, lighterweight gifts, and an extremely small tree. I am planning to take pictures of any big items and wrap the photo, so the kids can open it.

Especially for my 13 year old, I'll probaly do a bunch of gift cards anyway.

We'll open gifts from relatives when we get home...I figure it will give us something to look forward to!

we went the xmas right after 9/11 - I also have family in Boca...sooo.. we sent larger stuff by mail to my relatives house and they met us in Orlando. The rest we packed in our luggage.

We were there for Christmas a couple years ago and there was no way I was lugging all the gifts down. Our kids knew that Santa would leave our gifts at our house like always and they were fine with that. I did make up a little card/ticket type thing that Santa was going to leave in our room for a sleigh ride on Christmas Night. Before everyone else was up I checked our door and saw Santa really had left us a little goodie bag ;) so I stuck the ticket in there along with the other treats that he left us.

We will be at WDW Dec. 18th-26th and my DD's have already said that they want Santa to leave the presents at our house so they can get them when they get home. I'm probably going to have some small items for them at WDW. I'm definitely bringing a small table top tree and a few decorations.
