What to do about bringing water for infant formula?

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get bottled water for infant formula when staying at a Disney Resort? I don't want to pay a lot for hotel bottled water. I need to get a 6 pack or more. I can't bring it on the air plane due to the new rules on liquids. Is there somewhere I can take the disney bus to, to buy some at? Like a Publix or gas station? We won't have a rental car so that's why this is a problem, it needs to be some place where we can walk to. We are staying at Disney's All Star Music.

Many easy answers for you and options:

1. Sign up for Staples rewards and get free shipping, have a case shipped to your resort and they will hold it until you arrive.

2. Pack a few bottles into each suitcase and distribute a case among the luggage. I know it seems heavy but I have packed a case. Or just check in your case of water as lugguge. Stick the ME tags and you are set to go.

3. The baby care centers all have filtered water. You can fill as many bottles of water as you would like. First aid also has a water cooler. I fill up my carry bottle twice a day.

TSA has relaxed and now I can have my DS sippy cup go thru without a problem but each airport is different.

Hope this helps,

We bought a gallon of water at the WL gift shop and it was not that expensive at all. You can just fill your empty bottles each am.

I was also going to suggest Staples. I read about doing that before our trip last year. I ordered 2 cases and we had more than enough for our whole trip. It cost about $12 for 2 cases, it was delivered to the resort and a worker delivered it to our room while we were gone out of our room within hours of checking in. The day we checked out we gave all our extra bottles to the family next to us. They were thrilled. I will order water from Staples every trip I go on now.

When we were there with dd, 4 mos at the time, I too bought the water by the gallons.
It was cheaper and seemed easy at the time to just fill the bottles with how much I needed and add the powdered formula when she was ready to eat!

We used the :thumbsup2 Garden Grocer delivery service for our water, diapers, wipes, and laundry soap. The only thing I packed was DS Similac formula powder packs. This worked out so well for us. Just another option to throw out there for you. Make sure you use the Baby Care Centers at each park, they are wonder.

If you are traveling with a baby you have to have checked luggage too, right? Put bottled water in with the clothes etc, but put them in a couple of zip lock bags incase any thing odd happens you dont want the baby clothes wet! PLUS, once you use the water, that leaves a spot for returning with gifts!
I have never heard of the Staples delivery... GREAT TIP!!!!!!! I know when mine were babies, I would have needed/wanted the same brand of water that I'd always used though. If this isnt you, the Staples thing sound TGTBT! Too bad they dont sell diapers!

I don't know if this will work, but for our day trips we actually bought one of the filters that go in the bottle. Please don't ask where we got it ... I don't know. But, it's a little filter that slips in the opening of the bottle and can filter water straight from a water fountain. We loved it.

Thanks so much you have all given me so many options and great tips I will definately do! You have just made our trip in May much easier! princess:

you have gotten great tips! we traveled with my sister and her DS that was 3 months at the time and he was on formula as well. we used a towncar service to and from the airport that allowed for a grocery store stop and we stocked up on the water then.

having bottled water in your check-in luggage is still allowed to my knowledge.

good think my sister worried about not having enough formula on hand...she was particular about brand and type and it had to be powder. well she brought a canister that was super huge, way more than we needed. but it was smart thinking in the end as we had a spill and lost a good portion, but still had plenty.

it was nice to know that incase of 'emergency' there was formula available for purchasee at the resort shop and in the baby centers within the parks.

We were on the DDP and purchased the refillable mugs, so anytime we ate at the resort we got bottled water as the drink and used our refillable mugs for a beverage with the meal. We used the bottled water for the formula. You can buy bottled water in larger amounts but it is a bit costly. It was $3.50 for 1.5 litres.
