WHat should you bring on the Cruise???

And an extension cord, books to read, a day bag, hand sanitizer, a cardboard mailer (to keep your pictures from getting bent on the way home), any medication you might possibly need, sunglasses, ID and backup ID, and me.

Sunscreen (I buy SPF 45 since it's the same price as SPF 30).

Nice clothes for formal night.

A big yes to the hand sanitizer.

A big yes to your medications.

We never found a need for an extension cord......but they would be handy IF you bring any type of electronic equipment since the plugs probably aren't in the area where you will need them. Some bring hair dryers, although there are 1500 watt hair dryers built in the bathroom. My DD has long, very very thick hair and found the hair dryer in the cabin almost too hot for her, but I guess some on this board must have monster hair dryers at home, because they find the hair dryer inadequate.

Don't forget:
over the door shoe holder for toiletries - absolute must
spray sunscreen - great for beach time application and re-application
more than one swimsuit
extra memory cards for the digital camera
ear plugs for naps or if you are sound-sensitive at night
sweater for breezy walks on deck at night
$$$ for drinks and pictures (ideas contributed by DH)
clothes pins to keep curtains closed tightly

A couple of things mentioned that arent needed

Clothes pins for curtains - we asked after the first night and the room attendant provided two for us. So ask him or her as soon as you can.

Nice clothes for formal nights - the formal and semi formal nights arent enforced. Not that you shouldnt bring the clothes if that is your cup of tea, but there will be lots of people not dressed up probably a majority on our cruise. It was an interesting mix. Probably close to half dressed to the nines in tuxes or suits and the other half very informal going as far as shorts on formal night. I was one of the very few in between with slacks and a dress suit.
