What to bring for Breakfast?

I am not sure that the values have cofee makers in the rooms. We did this for grits and hot chocolate at WL and it worked great.
We are not really big breakfast eaters at WDW because we eat big dinners later at night. Our plan for our Jan trip when we will be on the dinning plan is to get our desert to go some nights and have it for breakfast the next am.
We also found that when we do take breakfast items that low carb/high proten tend to work well for us. Cheese cubes, peanuts or peanut butter tend to stick with you longer and we feel better in the parks.

I think you might be surprised that you do have more CS credits than you think. We often share a CS meal or two and the breakfast platters are really large. Use the desert for a muffen and feed at least two people.

Have a blast.

:cool1: We like making a continental breakfast like we had in Europe. Lunch meat, Rye breads, Nut Butters, Fresh & Dried Fruit, and Cheese. We keep the food that spoils in the ice chest or refrigerator. :stir:

I was reading the thread and I agree with you on the food choices...this is a fact statement and not a judgement call but most people do not read the labels of what they eat. That said, Pop tarts and fruit loops are not going to get the kids up and going for a morning of running around. I shipped down a box full of stuff for us...

Nuts...almonds, walnuts, peanuts
peanut butter - a small container
organic jelly..all natural...no high fructose corn syrup
pretzels
triscuits
Cliff bars..organic with protein and carbs
Be bars at Target...10g of protein and good
whole wheat, whole grain bread
Cheerios
buy apples..fiber and vitamins
bananas..higer in sugar but kids love them
whole grain mini bagels or mini pitas
mozerella cheese sticks (buy them ...can't ship unless you want dry ice)
skim milk
Please, please read the labels on the bars...the south beach bars, I think, have alot of stuff that people without a chemistry degree can not pronounce, let alone know what it is. Just because it says "all natural" doesn't mean its good for you...corn syrup and shortening are "all natural" but NOT good for you or kids.....as for processed "quick meals" like the pocket items...I'm not really sure what they are about either. I just don't see how most people are able to keep going and going on some of the current food choices made. Real "all natural foods" are good, cheap, and body friendly. Good Luck

The list of foods sounds really high in empty sugar/carb calories - is there anything out there that has more protein in it? The South Beach bars sound like a good choice, but I'm always worried that my kids and I will get a sugar crash after cereal and fruit snacks for breakfast. Bagels have some fat, right?

We've bought milk and kept it in a small cooler, but the ice bucket should work for a quart as well. Would string cheese and cream cheese keep OK on ice? Too bad they don't make prewrapped bacon (just quoting from "If I Had a Million Dollars" ;) )
