Hiya,

was just thinking about our trip in April (it's getting so I'm never NOT thinking about it!! ) and was wondering if there are any tips or "MUST do" out there... It's our second trip, so hopefully we won't be quite so overwhelmed by it all.
(And I'm shamelessly using the DIS boards to prepare a bit more this time too!!:o )

From our trip last time - definitely do Animagique, such a magical experience, with a bit of a sing along too - the looks on the kids faces were just a joy to behold... Gives a nice sit-down when we start to flag in the afternoon too..
Also, I must remember that the kids like parades and characters MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH more than you would think!!!
And of course, remember to go with the flow and have heaps of fun....:joker:

Cheers,
Tessa

I think you will find DLRP much easier the second time around as it is now familiar to you. :goodvibes

I agree Animagique is a lovely way to grab a rest. :thumbsup2

Are you planning to have a character meal? I was just thinking that would save you having to queue for characters in the park.

Thanks Elaine,
we were wondering about a character meal, but I figure that the kids would STILL want to meet ALL the characters round the park anyhow!! I'm not sure how many characters I can take in one trip... I love them , but the kids have this urge to cuddle every single one of them - repeatedly!!!! It is what makes the magic for them, so I tend to go with the flow... :hippie:
We have booked Cafe Mickey for one evening meal - not been there before, but I saw that the characters come out there for a bit, so we'll see how it goes...

Cheers,
Tessa

Just got back yesterday - my tip would be where to watch the parade from. On the first day we went to the castle and my 3 year old DD sat on the pavement edge, but I found she saw very little given how high up most of the princesses were.

The second day we watched from the queuing area of 'It's a small world' which is on a wee hill about 8'-10' high so it meant she was at eye level with nobody in front of her. This is right where the parade starts from and it was really exciting for her to see Cinderellas coach lining up behind the gate, then most of the princesses waved right at her as she was on their level. I daresay this wouldn't be possible high season if the queues were long on 'It's a small world' but at the moment that part of the queueing area is roped off and unused as it's not so busy. It also meant we immediately jumped on the ride when the parade was over so no queuing at all!

Have fun! princess:

Oh! .... We also had a Character Meal on our last night at Cafe Mickey, and not only was it the best meal we had all holiday, but the character interaction and entertainment was fab! Every character visited every table. We had Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Tigger and Friar Tuck from Robin Hood. The dancing etc was great and they realy took their time with photos and autographs etc. Well worth it and we said if/when we go back we'd do that twice on our first and last nights. :woohoo:

Thanks for that!
:thumbsup2 GREAT Tip - never thought of there! :thumbsup2
Will definitely give it a go - though I expect it may be busier the week after Easter when we are there - the parks are open later than the week following, so I guess that gives some indication of how busy it gets?

WOW - sounds like you had a fantastic trip!!! Fingers crossed we will have such a good time there!!
