What Time?

My kids are early risers so we try to get to the parks at opening. I like to be there early because it usually gives you a little while to enjoy so more popular attractions with out the massive crowds. AK is one I strongly recommend you get to early. Last time we got there 45 minutes after it opened and it took us 40 minutes to get into the park :confused3

I am normally an early riser and a stickler for time so if I know that the park opened at 9:00 I would want to be there at 8:30 waiting.......That was until we had kids and I started to see the park and the magic through their eyes....We still try to get there in time for the opening but if we don't it is not a big deal as we are there for the magic and it is there no matter what time you arrive. I would also like to add that it depends on the age of the kids and whether or not you plan on going back to the room in the early afternoon for a rest.....

That's a good point. My kids are 12/8 and 6 so they don't needs naps any more, but we do take a mid day break

We try to get there at opening, we have 4 kids: DS13, DD4, DS3 and DS18mo. We leave for nap/rest time around 1 or 2 pm so we get in as much as we can handle in the mornings.

Last year we got to the parks around 10:30 - 11:00. We went the second week of November and there crowds were minimal so that was fine for us. But I have told my husband this year I like to be there (at least once) when the park opens up.

My kids are grown now, but through experience, I found it was best to get to the parks early (but not early entry - we tried - it didn't work), like about 9:00. Then take a mid-day break and go back to the room. Late afternoon, go back to a park or eat dinner and go back to a park. We always accomplished more that way.

We try to use every single minute. So...I always make breakfast reservations inside the park for a time slot that is an hour or so before the park opens. Your reservation allows you into the park early. I also take advantage of the early entry and get the CM's take our photo as we walk in without hundreds of other people in the photos. Of course there are many other photo opps without all of those people in the way too. Especially at Epcot, I like to take photos of the fog rising from the water that early in the morning.

That's what we have found that works best for us....We have a 4yo and with all of the stimulation at Disney we find that going in the morning for 4-5 hours and then back to the hotel for pool/nap and then back to the parks keeps everyone happy....Especially Daddy and he is the one that matters....'Cause if daddy isn't happy noone is happy..... :confused3

DD and I are always right around EMH opening. DW gets up eats at her own pace and either meets us at the park or we head back to go to the waterpark. This works very well for us as She doesn't do the bigger rides so we get them all in before she meets us.

As far as AK and the big lines to get in Cut through the RainForest Cafe there is never a line at that entrance

DD and I also close the parks mostly the EMH one as well if DW get tired she just heads back .Thats what we love about Disney and staying on-sight you have so many options.
