We will be at Epcot the second week in April and DD has many friends going. Most of her friends have an ADR at Askerhaus for 8pm. Will they be done with dinner in time for her to meet them for Illuminations or should she go with another group to see the fireworks. Anyone have a later reservation at Askerhaus and get out in time??

I would meet up with another group of friends. Odds are, they will not be done in time for Illuminations. Why wait around hoping they are out in time. :confused3

I always budget an hour of time at minimum for any Disney table service meal. Even if they ate in 45 minutes, that would still be only fifteen minutes before Illuminations would start. You should be getting your place for the show by that time. And that's if they were seated right at 8:00 and only took 45 minutes to eat.

I'd go with the other group. And also remember that if the first group of friends know where the other group will be, it's not going to go over very well if they try and join up with your daughter right before the show starts.

Thanks for the replies, she is going to go with another group and text where they are...

If anyone does have input about time, please let us know, DD's friends are now worried they will miss Illuminations and we told them we would see if anyone else had this time for dinner and how long they were...

I agree on all counts. Last year we had a 7:30 at Le Cellier and just made it out when Illuminations was starting, you just never know.

Keep in mind that just because the ADR is for 8:00 does not mean they will be seated right away. The later the ADR the more chance that the restaurant could be backed up. It might not happen, but you have to realize it could. Also, I don't know how many is in their group, but for us it seems the more people dining the longer it takes.
