What time to get to airport for return?

If we check in to our flight at the DTD check in with Virgin and drop baggage there in the morning, what time would we need Tiffany Towncars to pick us up from the Yacht Club to get to MCO in time for our 7pm flight, whilst minimising unnecessary waiting around?

I would get to airport a minimum of two hours before you fly. Immigration can take an age.

DME picked us up about 5 hours before our flight which was far too long when we were exhausted and hot from a day in the parks.

2-3 hours should be fine.

Having the towncar pick you up 3-1/2 hours before the flight should do it. (For Magical Express it is normally 4 hours give or take 15 minutes depending on bus scheduling. Maybe more if there are known problems en route or if the 4 hour bus was too full when you were assigned seats.)

Yes I would say allow 4hours for traffic etc. as pps have said ME is normally four hours and we have on occasions found this to be only just enough time.
The security line can be massive as well and if you want to eat before you fly you will need time for that as well.

Wow we leave a lot later than that we aim to be at the airport 1.5 hours before flying if we have checked the bags at DTD. We have always had plenty of time. We f,y at 7:30 pm and will leave BLT at 4:30 pm at the earliest.

No customs to clear only security on departure

We usually aim to be there 2 hours before flying.

Security is always queues we find, like huge so we get to the airport around 5 for our 8:50 flight back

We then head to bag drop and through security and means little to no hanging around.

Usually plan to be at the airport 2-3 hours before. Sometimes a little longer if car is close to its expiry time, I won't rent the car an extra day for sake of sitting in the airport an extra hour but with no car thats no concern.

Never had much problem thru security, especially if flying indirect home but the last time we flew home with VA the security line was ridiculous, well over 1 hour, people were throwing up in bags around us ill or heat? we don't know, they kept fast tracking people who were late for flights which then added to everyone elses time. We just got thru is time.
