What time to get Fantasmic for?

I'm going to try and get a Fantasmic Dinner package for H&V for our trip. What's the best time to try for a dinner ressie in order to get to the earlier Fantasmic show in time?

From everything I have read on the boards here and on the Moms panel you can only get early afternoon reservations for dinner like between 2:30 and 4:30. They let you pick OFF eating times for the Fantasmic packages trying to fill in those hard to fill in ADR times. If you are booking an ADR WITHOUT the Fantasmic package you can book anytime you want to, but not with the package. I don't know this from personal experience, but if I were you I would go online and try to see what times they offer you for the package.

When I was gonna go in may; the time I had was at like 2:20pm. Now for my trip in Sept it's 3:50pm. Those must be the times available they have for the package. Very odd times indeed

I believe the latest time they offer for a F! ADR is 5pm. Your package vouchers are only good for the first show. We were able to get that time at Mama Melrose and dinner took about 1.5 hours, so we had time to go on a few rides and then head on over to our seats. It was great.

Just out of curiosity: when are you going? You usually need to try to make a F. package ADR on or close to your 180 day to get a good time. Although, if you're asking fo H&V it won't be as much of a problem

When I made our ADR for late Sept. (on my 180th day) I could only get an early dinner at HBD. All of the lunches, and all of the dinners at the other 2 places were already gone!!

As a PP noted: the latest ADR for the F package is 5:00. You will probably end up with an earlier time. But you could try for a lunch instead.

No matter what time you eat, the F. package seat vouchers are ONLY good for the early show.

I just booked Sunday 9/11 last week. I reserved on the phone because at the time the website wasn't doing Fantasmic Dinner reservations. The agent told me they only make reservations between 3pm-5pm. The only time she had open for the date I wanted was 3:05pm. She said we have to arrive at the dinner package entrance to Fantasmic 30-45 minutes before the 8:30pm show. Apparently if you show up right before the show they start filling the dinner package section with guests that were waiting in the regular line so you may lose your seats.
