What Time to Check In?

Hi there

What time would you guys recommend arriving at Manchester Airport for an 11am flight? Is there much to do there once you've checked in? TIA

We would arrive between 7.30 and 8am.

If we have checked in online we arrive 1.5~2hrs before. If we have not checked in then 2.5~3 hrs.
There are are few shops, Dixons, bookshops, newagents, Boots, Duty free etc but thats last thing I want to be doing when going on holiday. We just go straight thru and wait at the gate.

Ahhh gone are the days when a 2 hour international check in was acceptable

Thanks everyone. I'm usually obsessive too, but I'm a horribly nervous flyer so I want to be in the airport for the least time possible whilst occupying myself with anything I can. Not going to lie, I suspect itll involve copious amounts of vodka even if it is 7am...
