What time should I leave?

Family of five (adults or young adults)...staying at BLT. We will be taking the monorail to Epcot on Friday, June 5th. What time should we leave BLT to get to Epcot before Rope Drop? I'd like to be there around 8:30 (30 minutes before). Thanks so much!

Not sure your exact walking speed, but I would plan to leave your room by 7:40 to be safe. Gives you plenty of time to not stress about monorails showing up on time, or the security line taking too long. If you plan for 7:40, and are not able to get out until 7:50 or later, you would still probably end up being plenty early.

Plan for a security bag check at the Contemporary before loading the monorail, as well as one at the entrance of Epcot, before the you scan your magic bands.
