What time should I leave?

For the Princess, I'm staying at the Yacht Club. How long will it take me to walk to the start?

You cannot walk to the start from the Yacht club as that back entrance to Epcot isn't open yet. Unless this is a host hotel where Disney will provide transportation to the start, you'll need to drive yourself or take a cab. I'd give yourself about an hour to drive and park which factors in time for traffic and congestion on the roads.

Well shoot! This is where Team in Training booked me. I asked y mentor and she said we could just walk. Hmm, I guess I need to figure something else out.

You definitely cannot walk through the International Gateway to the race start from the Yacht Club. It will not be open. I've heard of people who planned just that and missed the beginning of the race. (I had considered the very same thing at first until I was told!)

I was so thankful that someone pointed it out to me or I may have been one of those standing at the IG looking around.
